Amazing wine and experience

This was an amazing tour! Glen included a lot of really interesting history along with his orientation to the various vineyards, and each different tasting showcased a different aspect of Waiheke's wine-making.

Operator response

So glad you enjoyed the day, Waiheke is such a special place.

Thank You For a Terrific Experience

This was an amazing experience - not only an opportunity to sample fine wines not universally available, but a look at a wonderful little island and a bit of its history.

Great experience, great guide, 3 top Vineyards and truly New Zealand charm even in Winter

We had a great experience, our guide was a true local with lots of knowledge of the island. We started with a 1 hour scenic tour and had the opportunity to step out overlooking one of the beaches. After that, we started on our 3 wineries. The Casa Miro Vineyard was amazing, lovely place with lots of character, nice pairing of wines with olive oil, bread, cheese and olives. Very good wines! Loved the Albarino and Miro Malbec (tasted 5 wines). The Batches Vineyard was also great, tasted 4 wines and our sommelier was very knowledgeable and helpful. Mudbrick Vineyard was our last with a very enjoyable and engaging tasting, very joyful concept of challenging perceptions of wine grapes. We had lunch in the Top restaurant, was fabulous and very Michelin star like, although not for the hungry customer. We loved the tour and the many joyful commentaries from our guide.

Absolutely the best way to experience Waiheke Island

What a great day, a knowledgeable and very entertaining guide, we were laughing within a few minutes of meeting him and it only got better. It appeared that he was well known at the wineries we visited and we were so happy with the venues chosen. Would definitely do this tour again.

Knowledgeable Driver, Great Wineries, Total Freedom

My partner and I did this tour in late May and it was a highlight of our trip. The wine-to-food ratio was spot on . We never felt rushed or overstuffed, just perfectly paced throughout the day. Our driver was friendly, accommodating, and genuinely knowledgeable . We learned so much about the New Zealand wine industry along the way. Best of all, he gave us space to enjoy the tastings at our own pace rather than hovering at every winery. The small group size made the whole experience feel personal and relaxed. Highly recommend!

Nice wine in a beautiful place

It was a beautiful day on Waiheke Island. I was part of a small group (four people), and I enjoyed their company. The wine at the three wineries we visited was great.

Premium relaxed and fun wine tour

Terrific wine tour highlighted by experienced local guide Glenn, who has a deep knowledge of the island’s wine history and landscape and a great sense of humour. Three premium wine tastings at some great cellar doors with mix of wines, styles and winery size. Each of them had engaging and knowledgeable staff who helped make the tasting. Glenn really made the logistics super easy with pick-up straight off the ferry, assistance with organising lunch of your choice and also a pick-up service to take you back to the ferry afterwards. I would highly recommend lunch at Mudbrick. Great food and service in a stunning setting. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great experience / day of relaxed premium wine tasting and food, with some witty banter, fun and great wine insights attached.
