Itinerary
GREET & MEET: Our tour guide and driver will be waiting for you in the hotel lobby to greet you. We will provide you with a short briefing on how to ride safely and what you need to do while seated behind us on the scooters. Hold on tight, and let's start an exciting adventure with us! During this food tour, we will chat and share the local and food stories to help you understand more about life of people as well as local cuisine not only in Saigon but also the whole Vietnam.
After an exciting ride, our first stop brings you to a cozy local eatery in District 3, where you’ll enjoy a bowl of Bún Bò Huế — a bold and aromatic beef noodle soup that stands apart from the more familiar Phở found across Vietnam. This central Vietnamese specialty features a fragrant broth simmered with lemongrass, beef bones, pineapple, and shrimp paste, giving it a rich, slightly spicy depth. It’s topped with crab sausage, tender beef brisket, spring onions, and sliced onions — a perfect balance of savory, spicy, and aromatic flavors that will wake up your taste buds from the very first sip.
Our second stop in District 10 offers Chuối Nướng — grilled plantain topped with creamy coconut milk sauce, blending sweet and savory flavors. It’s proudly recognized as one of the world’s top 10 street foods. Ingredients: Ripe bananas, sticky rice, coconut milk, tapioca, toasted sesame seeds.
Explore the history and beauty of Ho Chi Minh City on our full-day tour of the Thich Quang Duc Monument. Discover the stories behind this iconic monument and take in the stunning views of Saigon from a unique perspective.
Next, we’ll head to the lively Nguyễn Thiện Thuật neighborhood, a vibrant local area that captures the true spirit of Saigon street life. Here, you’ll savor Bánh Khọt — mini crispy pancakes made from rice flour, egg, coconut milk, and turmeric, filled with shrimp, pork, bean sprouts, and mung beans. Each bite bursts with flavor, especially when wrapped in fresh greens and dipped into a rich, tangy fish sauce. Served with mustard greens, lettuce, Thai basil, purple mint, ambarella leaves, and more — it’s a perfect harmony of textures and tastes. You’ll also get to try BBQ beef wrapped in betel leaves, a smoky and aromatic favorite served with vermicelli, rice paper, green banana, star fruit, and a sweet pineapple fish sauce that ties it all together.
We’ll take a short stroll to the largest and most vibrant flower market in Saigon, where colors and fragrances fill the air. Here, you’ll get to taste fresh Vietnamese Spring Rolls — delicate rice paper wraps filled with shrimp, pork, and crisp greens, served with a rich, creamy peanut dipping sauce. And don’t miss out on the grilled oysters with black pepper sauce — smoky, flavorful, and the perfect balance of spice and freshness. Alternatively, we can offer baked egg in a cup, featuring creamy eggs and customizable toppings. Please note that the menu may change based on the availability of local food stalls.
We’ll wander through the most vibrant and colorful food market in Ho Chi Minh City, where the sights, sounds, and aromas burst with local energy. Here, you’ll get to taste banana or coconut crackers — one of Saigon’s most beloved snacks, made from whipped egg whites, sugar, and sesame seeds, with a hint of ginger or banana for extra flavor. To cool down, enjoy a refreshing glass of sugarcane juice with kumquat — the city’s favorite drink, perfectly sweet, slightly tangy, and irresistibly refreshing.
Next stop is at the most famous street food area for Saigon students in district 10: Saigon’s Signature Baguette (Bánh Mì): the best-known baguette in the world, with sausage, pâté, meat, pickled vegetables (and coriander). It's Vietnam's #1 street food. Fillings: Pork sausage, pate (made from pig liver), butter, pickles, herbs, cucumber, chili
Next, we’ll make our way to a charming old apartment in District 10 to end on a sweet note — either Chè, a traditional Vietnamese dessert soup, or a silky caramel flan that melts in your mouth.

We had a wonderful tour with Jane and Happy. They were fantastic tour guides and made the experience so enjoyable and memorable. We especially loved trying the delicious local foods and experiencing the local culture. It was a truly memorable experience!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely fantastic experience! The motorbike food tour was one of the highlights of my time in Ho Chi Minh City. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable and made me feel completely safe riding through the city. The food was amazing, with a great variety of local dishes and stops I probably never would have discovered on my own. It was also a brilliant way to see different parts of Saigon and experience the city beyond the usual tourist areas. Great value for money, well organised and a lot of fun. I’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City!
We had an amazing time during the tour and would definitely recommend. The tour guides.were super friendly showing us around Ho Chi Minh City, while providing historic backgrounds behind certain places or words. Tour guides even allowed time to take pictures of us at these sites. The food spots were well chosen, delicious authentic food that we would have struggled to find ourselves. The motorbike was a must do experience, feeling very comfortable the whole time, we could also take pictures at many points. Thank you Denny and his team
The tour was amazing! Our tour guide was Hannah Dinh and she was really good at explaining every single meal and even the city and its history surrounding the district we were in and of the food. Would definitely recommend for everyone coming to the city 🩷
Rae and the SA team has been great! They did the tour very fun! We’re so full after the tour, 100% would recommend!
Rae en SA team did a great job of showing the local food from South Vietnam.
What a wonderful introduction to Ho Chi Min City through the eyes of the locals. Our leader Kevin and riders Mai and Austin expertly took us through interesting back streets and alleys to their favourite street food vendors intoducing us to Vietnamese favourite foods. Along they way showing us how the locals lived with many interesting stories and sights, before delivering us back to the "tourist" areas of district 1. Such warm, generous and beautiful hosts on our first morning in Vietnam. If you are at all interested in some local knowledge, you must do this tour.
Leon was so incredible! We had such an amazing experience. All the food was delicious and I left leaving full but not too full like I have from some other food tours. I especially liked the dessert flan and the Banh mi. So delicious. I liked riding around on a motorbike and felt very safe. So did my friend who wasn’t with Leon but with Emma. Note that there is a fair bit of walking around and history at a buggy hour if you do a 6 pm start so I definitely would bring bug spray or even wear pants (I wish I had). Leon and his team did a great job and I would recommend this to any of my friends
Stella and her team were amazing!!! I would recommend 10/10.
Stella was great and the team were solid in English making the tour comfortable as an American
