Prague Eat, Sip and Make Friends on Food Tour by Taste of Prague

Description
Small goups. Big flavours. Real stories. The original Prague food tour by Taste of Prague since 2011, recommended by the NYT. The idea is simple: take you to places you would not have found, order delicious, authentic dishes and drinks you would not have ordered. And tell you things you didn't know you should google. We run this on empathy. We know how precious your vacation time is, so we will not waste it on second-rate food or experience. We will treat your vacation and trip to Prague as if it were our own. So if you want to spend a few hours in the company of well-traveled locals who will serve you must-try foods and drinks and will not resort to tourist clichés because simply our conscience would not let us (and our Czech friends would eat us alive for it), we'll be happy to have you. (Please inform us of your allergies and dietary restrictions in due time. Thank you!)

Itinerary
Just kidding. You will not be seeing the Charles Bridge. No authentic food around it! (Okay, with one exception, but that's it!)
Where social change happens. This avenue is central to Czech history, past and present. We will be finishing the tour very nearby.

Fantastic tour, met awesome other travellers, great food, very interesting city Prague history and best of all our guide Katrina was a super host, many thanks Kat for a great afternoon
Outstanding food tour with Kiara. She shared lots of information about the country, Prague and its people. Not too much walking and we took both the subway and tram to reach some destinations. Great introduction to how to use Prague’s public transportation! Go hungry because the portions are generous and you’ll definitely want to eat everything! Excellent & unique non-alcoholic options. One of the best food tours we’ve been on because of the energetic guide and amazing food! Highly recommend.
Incredible flavors of Czech food and culture! My family of 4 took this tour and it was a great introduction to Prague. Not only was Jan a super-knowledgeable local who showed us some classic Prague foods (and beers!), but he shared interesting details about life in Czechia over the decades — a truly unique perspective we could only have learned from someone who lived it. The tour covered a variety of cuisines, from street food to more modern dining, along with historical highlights and a look at daily life in Prague. The tour never felt rushed or forced, and everything we learned made it a rich experience that wasn't just about eating and drinking (although that part was great!) Best of all, when our younger child went back to the apartment because he wasn't feeling well, Jan made sure to send us back with some bites and treats that he thoroughly enjoyed. All in all an incredible introduction to the city and the country as a whole. Bravo!
We absolutely loved this experience and 100% recommend. Klara was an excellent guide. The food was so delicious and we all loved learning about Czech food and drink culture. I was with my teenage daughter and her friend and we all loved it! A highlight of our trip for sure.
This was an outstanding tour for many reasons: the tour guide Jan was knowledgeable, fun, and an incredible story teller who described the food, wine, and history of the country. The restaurants we went to were authentic and had great food!
Jan was amazing. Great food, drinks, and got the inside view of Prague. Should have done this on our first day in Prague!!!
Jan taught us so much about Czech history. The food was great and the dessert was fantastic. This is a must do tour. Pam and Bob
What a fabulous experience! We would do this again. We got to experience some of the best food and locations that we never could’ve found on our own. Our guide was so entertaining and knowledgeable. Thank you, Kristina!
We had drinks/food at 5 different establishments overall. Come hungry because this would be the equivalent of a 4+ course tasting menu paired with 3 drinks. Our tour guide works in hospitality and also said he hosted the Michelin awards, so these people have great insider knowledge and intimate working relationships with chefs, food and drink suppliers, and restaurateurs in Prague. The food was amazing - I wish I did this tour in the beginning because I came out with a lot of tips and insider knowledge on where and what to eat and what salient attractions to see. Most of the food were Czech cuisine. For the rest of my stay in Prague, I tried to try Jan's (our guide's) recommended places and was very satisfied. In terms of culinary experiences, you guys definitely know your stuff! There's a lot of guides and lists online of where to go and what to eat, but I think what you have curated is the best and most reliable. Also I really liked Jan's stories about growing up during and after the age of communism. It was nice to see discrepancies between his version of history and my closest friend's version (he is East German) - not that either of them were wrong per se in their perspectives.
Katarina, our guide, had a dynamic personality which made this tour a lot of fun. We enjoyed walking to the five restaurants for food, beer/wine and dessert. However, the price doesn’t justify the cost of this otherwise fine tour.
