Arrival to Douro's port in Vila Nova de Gaia where you can appreciate the margins of the river and the boats.
Sail in Rabelo's boat in Douro River. Go through the 6 bridges and appreciate Oporto city from the river.
Visit one of the more famous cellars in Porto where the Porto Wine is produced. After the visit you will have a wine tasting where you can appreciate the Porto Wine.
Walk through one of the most beautiful bridges built in 1886 by a disciple of Gustave Eiffel.
Time for free lunch at the beautiful Ribeira do Porto. Here you can appreciate the picturesque waterfront neighbourhood Ribeira.
Sightseeing of Cathedral of Porto, located in the historic center of the city. One of the most impressive Roman monuments in the city.

Our guide, Nuno, was very knowledgeable & friendly. He gave a good tour & the 3 hour ride each way (we were Lisbon based) was very comfortable. We saw some amazing things & had a lovely lunch. However, I think my expectations were not aligned with what we did. I thought we would see more or the Douro & taste wines other than Port. The boat ride under the bridges was nice, but somewhat perfunctory.
Dear Shanni, we are very sorry that your expectations were not aligned with the tour description. Probably you were thinking that the tour was to Douro Valley, but it was to Porto City. In Porto we only have the Porto Wine Cellars and that's what we visit there along with all the other attractions in Porto. As it is a long ride we always try to show you as must as we can from the beautiful city that is Porto. Unfortunately we don't have day tours to Douro Valley from Lisbon. That would be 5h driving each way. It's not feasible. Maybe next time you can stay in Porto and we can take you to Douro Valley to see all the Wine Estates. Thank you so much. Kind regards, Margarida
What an amazing day in Porto! We took a private car from Lisbon to Porto, and back again. About a 12 hour fabulous day! Nuno, our guide was fabulous—he was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. We can’t recommend this tour enough. I would book Nuno again in a heartbeat, he was the best!!! For one day, we experienced so much that Porto has to offer, plus we had a great lunch in Porto, a restaurant recommended by our guide. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you only have one day to spend in Porto. The famous (Harry Potter) bookstore, sightseeing, architecture, churches, river boat tour, Port tasting…we did so much! We loved it!

Exceptional guided tour of Porto! Nuno picked us up directly from our hotel and immediately set the tone for a fantastic day. As we drove toward Porto, he shared engaging stories and insightful facts about Portugal’s culture and history — the kind of commentary that adds real depth to the journey. Once in Porto, the highlights were unforgettable. The boat tour along the Douro River was beautiful, with guided commentary as we cruised past the riverbanks of Porto and Gaia. We also explored the city itself, including memorable stops at the iconic Livraria Lello bookstore and the Calem Winery. Nuno was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable — truly a wonderful guide. Porto is a stunning city, and this tour made experiencing it even better. Highly recommended!

Nuno is the man! He provided us with a wonderful trip to Porto. On the way, he would explain much of the history of Portugal and the significance of much of the architecture along the way. He kept us focused during the trip so we didn’t spend too much time in one area, allowing us to see more of Porto. His recommendations were great. Nuno is all around awesome, and he made our trip very memorable

Nuno was an excellent guide! He picked us up at the hotel and did an amazing job at explaining the history and importance of every town/site we explored between Lisbon and Porto. I highly recommend booking this experience if you are interested in learning more by the history of cities while enjoying the activities the places of interest have to offer!

We had a PHENOMENAL experience with Nuno from Vango Tourism. This was the one day on our trip to Portugal that I felt like I could fully relax because we were in such good hands. This company has the Porto day trip down to a science, and with a ton of flexibility. We started at the top of Porto and only ever had to walk down hill. Our guide trekked back up to get the van while we ate lunch. I brought my parents (late 60s) and Nuno was super patient (and even encouraging) with the slower pace and the picture breaks. We stayed in Lisbon, so we had 3 hours in the car each way, and Nuno shared a ton of history and recommendations for the rest of our stay in Lisbon. We also got to nap and rest :) I considered doing a DIY day trip from Lisbon via train, but I'm so glad we went with the private tour instead. It was worth it!
