Itinerary
We will meet at the meeting point with our guide. After getting to know each other, we will head to Aveiro, Costa Nova and the Capelha do Senhor da Pedra. Along the way, our guide will tell you about Portuguese culture and history.
Once in Aveiro, we will enjoy a guided tour with our guide, who will show us all the corners of Aveiro and explain in detail all the history of the place.
Then, we will enjoy a ride on the traditional boat called “moliceiro”. Our local guide on board will show us the Ria de Aveiro, its salt pans and all its history.
After the visit and the boat ride, we will enjoy free time to enjoy the city and the gastronomy on our own.
Our next stop is Costa Nova, discover the typical colorful houses and visit one of the most emblematic beaches of Portugal.
This picturesque 17th century chapel is located on the rocks of the beach of the same name, in Vila Nova de Gaia. Its privileged location on the granite makes it stand defiantly facing the Atlantic despite not reaching 10 meters in height. Built on a hexagonal plan in 1686 in a place of pagan cults, it stands out for its main altar with baroque carvings and the two side altarpieces surrounding Christ crucified. The access stairway is 150 meters from the promenade, so it is necessary to cross the sand and stones to reach it. This means that, at high tide, it is impossible to reach it on foot, as it is surrounded by the sea.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A fantastic experience in Aveiro, Costa Nova, and the Chapel of Our Lord of the Stone. We took the Aveiro and Costa Nova tour with Pedro Pedrosa and María Sánchez and it was an incredible experience. Both were very pleasant, professional, and approachable, making the tour very entertaining and dynamic. We loved getting to know Aveiro, its canals, and the beautiful colorful little houses of Costa Nova, in addition to all the explanations and recommendations during the tour. Without a doubt, an excursion that we recommend 100%. Thank you Pedro and María for a fantastic day! 🇵🇹💙
Incredible tour, some beautiful places to visit, the guides Maria and Pedro were the best part of the tour, kind, friendly people and super attentive, my family was delighted, when we return to Portugal we will definitely repeat with them!
Overrated excursion. The visits and places are not very interesting. Food on the run and very early.
What a fabulous day! Our guides Maria and Andreá were fantastic. It was well organised, included some amazing places and I learnt so much without being overstimulated!! Highly recommended!!
After a few days exploring Lisbon and Porto, we decided to take an excursion to Costa Nova and Aveiro and I'm so glad we did. Our guide was friendly, welcoming and extremely knowledgable. He really set the tone for a wonderful day. Getting away in a small group allowed us to see as much as possible with the time we had. Everything was seamless and enjoyable from start to finish and we loved all the places we visited. The only sad part was when it ended.
The guide Monica was very friendly and made everyone feel comfortable. The bus ride was very enjoyable and the explanation was very good.
I expected more from the excursion, I would not recommend it
Very good experience, highly recommended. Both the guides and the excursion were a 10. We were able to travel by boat in Aveiro, walk its streets, enjoy the whole tour in general, and be able to enjoy the beaches. Thank you for this day.
The set of visits is very good.
Was a very fun, varied and fascinating trip with Pedro, Bruno & Lourdes! Good combination of Aveiro, Costa Nova and the chapel. Also my daughter of 11 from the fun!
