Our first time in the Algarve. This is a great way to see the coast from a different perspective

We had a brilliant trip yesterday and really enjoyed every minute of it! It was great value for money, and seeing the dolphins was definitely a highlight. Our guide was a marine biologist, so he had loads of interesting information about the dolphins and the coastline. The views inside the caves were amazing too. A really enjoyable trip and definitely one we’d recommend!

Amazing Coastline and Dolphin Tour aboard Kyros II

My wife and I joined 5 Emotions for their cave and dolphin-watching tour aboard Kyros II during our honeymoon in the Algarve, and we had a fantastic time. The meeting point was conveniently located on Praia da Rocha beach, followed by just a short walk to the marina to board the boat. The coastal portion of the tour was beautiful, taking us past the Algarve’s spectacular cliffs, rock formations and sea caves, including the famous Benagil Cave. Seeing these places from the water and being able to travel inside some of the caves was an amazing experience in itself. We then headed farther out to sea, where the crew located a pod of dolphins. We saw loads of them, with some swimming incredibly close alongside the boat and putting on quite the show! You could almost reach out and touch them! It was a genuinely unforgettable sight and undoubtedly one of the highlights of our honeymoon. The two marine biologists aboard were brilliant. They helped locate the dolphins and told us more about them throughout the encounter, providing information in Portuguese, French, German and English. Kyros II itself was spacious, well equipped and never felt cramped. It had comfortable seating, a toilet and a minibar offering soft drinks. The ride was reasonably comfortable, even when the seas got a bit choppy, and both the vessel and crew made the entire experience feel safe and professionally run while maintaining a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. A brilliant way to experience the Algarve coastline, the Benagil caves and the marine life found off Portugal’s southern coast. We would absolutely recommend 5 Emotions!

Highly recommend! On this...

Highly recommend! On this tour we got to see dolphins and explore Benagil caves. There were marine biologists on board meaning the tour was very informative about the wildlife we saw. This tour was given in four different languages, making it very accommodating. We saw lots of dolphins and everyone on the boat was able to see them. Definitely a highlight! Afterwards we travelled along the coastline and took in the stunning views. The captain even allowed guests to take a quick swim if they wanted to. This tour is definitely family friendly, and is fun for all ages. Overall, this experience was worthwhile and we would go again!

Beautiful boat trip

great experience and so lovely to see the Common Dolphins. The caves were also beautiful and our guide was informative and fun. Just one improvement could be more forthcoming with offering drinks. We took water, but I think hunk for a 2.5 hour trip bottles of water should be handed out. Apart from the hat would recommed.

Great tour guides, dolphins but overcrowded Benagil Cave

Great trip with super tour guides giving much information on regional landscape and sea life around. Spotted a lot of dolphins, but it depends a lot on the season and time during the day. A big disappointment was Benagil Cave, the cave itself was quite a view but it’s extremely touristic overcrowded with too many boats and Kajaks. Every boat is slowed to view the cave only for 2min, before the next boat comes in. It’s not allowed to go in the beach in the cave to preserve the nature. They need to get a hang on this overcrowded tourism cause that’s too much.

Great boat tour with interesting information.

The boat trip was a lot of fun, we were able to observe some dolphins and the biologist had interesting information about them; you could also see some caves from the inside and the beautiful coastline. We liked it very much.

Highly recommended!

Very competent tour by marine biologist Angela, fluent in several languages, who was really into it and is passionately interested in the animals. We were positively surprised by the boat tour. The address was unfortunately not quite accurate, but we were able to find it nearby in time. A very bumpy ride, but it was a lot of fun. As soon as you are out of the harbor with the boat, you quickly find out why you should not have any back problems ;) Dolphins right by the boat, even a baby dolphin. Beautiful caves and coastal sections with explanations of the history. The Benagil Cave is nice, but it is just a cave; it only becomes interesting as a whole.
