This trip of around two hours and thirty minutes, departing from the Marina of Portimão, offers two magnificent experiences: the observation of cetaceans (dolphins and whales) and the observation of our Algarve coast with a visit to the famous Benagil Cave. To enhance your experience, we have a highly qualified marine biologist on board. This specialized multilingual professional (Portuguese, English, French, and Spanish) will be available to share their extensive knowledge about cetaceans, seabirds in the region, as well as marine life, and the local ecosystem, ensuring that all our passengers can fully understand and appreciate the wonderful marine life. Feel free to ask questions as our marine biologist will be at your disposal to answer any inquiries you may have. Absolutely fantastic tour! It was split into two parts: first, we headed out into open water to look for dolphins. Our expert marine biologist guides were incredible, and we were lucky enough to encounter a pod of around 100 common dolphins. Travelling alongside them for 20 minutes was a truly magical experience. Afterward, we were taken on a beautiful tour of the breathtaking cliffs and caves along the Algarve coast, including Benagil. The crew accommodated children exceptionally well, giving them access to the front for a great view and providing warm jackets for anyone feeling chilly. Do note that the boat travels at a decent pace - while it’s not a high-speed thrill tour, it’s certainly not a slow boat either! I highly recommend this experience - it was incredibly informative, and we learned so much. Excellent value for money too.
Beautiful tour initially out to the open sea, including sightings of dolphins that can be observed from very close range. Then along the coast, entering the Benagil Cave and other caves. The crew shares interesting information about animals and the landscape and is very friendly.
Great tour with competent guides. Visited various whale and dolphin spots and had time to watch. The trip to the caves was ok. There was the opportunity to jump into the water.
Different than expected - there was no mention of a speedboat in the description, and if you are not prepared for the boat racing over the water at 50 km/h, it is no fun!

Nice experience dolphin watching and visiting the Benagil caves, although very crowded with boats in high season. We were able to see a group of very curious dolphins, totally recommended.

My wife and I had done this trip before last year and enjoyed it just as much this year! We saw lots of dolphins and the guides were very knowledgeable about them, explaining their behaviour and how they look for them. The caves were also very interesting and we learned a lot about various places along the coast!

Experience beyond our expectations! Magnificent caves and exciting encounter with dolphins. At a certain point, unexpectedly, a 15-meter tropical whale appeared! (see attached video) Very competent biologist on board in addition to the rest of the friendly and helpful staff. Money well spent

We had a brilliant trip yesterday and really enjoyed every minute of it! It was great value for money, and seeing the dolphins was definitely a highlight. Our guide was a marine biologist, so he had loads of interesting information about the dolphins and the coastline. The views inside the caves were amazing too. A really enjoyable trip and definitely one we’d recommend!

My wife and I joined 5 Emotions for their cave and dolphin-watching tour aboard Kyros II during our honeymoon in the Algarve, and we had a fantastic time. The meeting point was conveniently located on Praia da Rocha beach, followed by just a short walk to the marina to board the boat. The coastal portion of the tour was beautiful, taking us past the Algarve’s spectacular cliffs, rock formations and sea caves, including the famous Benagil Cave. Seeing these places from the water and being able to travel inside some of the caves was an amazing experience in itself. We then headed farther out to sea, where the crew located a pod of dolphins. We saw loads of them, with some swimming incredibly close alongside the boat and putting on quite the show! You could almost reach out and touch them! It was a genuinely unforgettable sight and undoubtedly one of the highlights of our honeymoon. The two marine biologists aboard were brilliant. They helped locate the dolphins and told us more about them throughout the encounter, providing information in Portuguese, French, German and English. Kyros II itself was spacious, well equipped and never felt cramped. It had comfortable seating, a toilet and a minibar offering soft drinks. The ride was reasonably comfortable, even when the seas got a bit choppy, and both the vessel and crew made the entire experience feel safe and professionally run while maintaining a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. A brilliant way to experience the Algarve coastline, the Benagil caves and the marine life found off Portugal’s southern coast. We would absolutely recommend 5 Emotions!
