Our boat trip circumnavigates the island of Ponza stopping at all of the best swimming and snorkeling spots, sea caves and scenic coves.
Heading out of the port of Ponza we will come across the Grottos of Pilatus, carved by the ancient Romans.
Passing by the southern tip of the island, glancing up we will notice the Guardia lighthouse, one of the most important on the coast.
Your guide will share the legend that gives this scenic cove an extra air of mystery.
At White Point, if sea conditions allow we will swim through a blue grotto from end to end.
The Natural Pools are a popular swimming spot in Ponza for those visiting by land, we will enjoy a view as we pass by boat.
In the Cove of the Water there was once a bountiful source of natural spring water the ancient Romans used.
Another popular swimming area with those visiting by land, a tiny boat takes guests back and forth to sun on a giant "scoglio"
A medieval lookout point and the site where an american landing ship tank sunk in WWII during a storm.
Cala Cecata tells the story of the islands industrial past, once a bentonite mine, now it's a swimming area.
One of the Ponza's most colorful coves, Cala Felci has characteristic fern plants that stand in stark contrast to the bring yellow on the cliff walls - sulphur - a reminder of the islands volcanic origins.
Picturesque Punta Incenso is the northernmost tip of the island and marks the starting point for an exploration of the eastern side of the island.
A popular swimming spot on the island's east side, reachable by land only through a treacherous descent of over 200 steps.
Surely the most photographed rock formation in Ponza, the Natural Arch is an obvious stop -- make sure to hug or kiss your special someone as we pass by to guarantee lifelong love and happiness.
Ponza does not have many beaches, but this pebble beach is the closest to the port and the most popular. It's also our last stop before heading back to the port.
Once we land back in Ponza's port in the late afternoon, it's a perfect time to wander the historic center, enjoy an aperitivo or a gelato and explore the shops.

i loved it! needs more vegetarian options for lunch as only option was plain pasta and olive oil, which was shocking ! but riccardo was lovely and the island was beautiful.
Noted! Our tiny little boat kitchen makes it difficult to find options to suit all tastes and dietary restrictions, and while we do our best we appreciate any feedback that pushes up to innovate and improve. We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your day with Riccardo and hope you visit us again!
Ponza is beautiful and well-worth a boating excursion. It was convenient to book with this tour, because we could get ferry tickets from Anzio to Ponza that were otherwise not available anywhere. That said, unfortunately the atmosphere of the boat is less than relaxing, with the guide giving the tour from a blaring loud speaker. It was giving me a huge headache, and in my opinion the ride would’ve been much better without the incessant facts about the island. They should focus on making the experience more relaxing… Between the first and second swim stop, we were riding on the boat for what felt like an hour. It was way too long to be on such choppy waters and I had hoped that the swim spots would be closer together. The lunch was pasta and OK, they didn’t offer to give us water or any beverages throughout. There were a lot of other people on board and the boat is small. Not much room to lay down anywhere or relax.

On the long stretch between swim stops: the timing isn't fixed but depends on the sea conditions each day, and yours happened to be unusually choppy, which isn't typical. Very good experience. We enjoyed the whole trip and Mara was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. We would highly recommend taking this day trip. Only thing we wished we knew was to bring your own towel :)

Great way to see the coastline of the island while having a fun cooling relaxing time swimming at 5 locations. This cliffs, caves, nooks were impressive. Water is remarkably clear. Snorkeling enabled great views underwater. The boat was full, many Europeans on vacation (I am from the US on a cruise). By the first swimming spot we were all comfortably mingling together. Food wine and water offered - nothing special but it hit the spot. Definitely do this is you have the chance.

It was a splendid experience from the very first meeting with Valerio, our guide: a truly adorable person. The organization was impeccable, from the departure from Rome by minibus to the arrival in Anzio, where we boarded to reach Ponza and begin the tour, until the return to the city. On board, the crew proved to be extremely courteous and the lunch was delicious. An experience to live at least once: once you reach the end, the only desire will be to start all over again.
