Polish Countryside and Tyniec Abbey Bike Tour from Krakow

Did this one afternoon and really enjoyed it. You start right in the middle of Kraków. Pretty quickly you're out of the busy streets and onto a path along the river, which is flat and easy going so you can actually enjoy the scenery instead of concentrating on the road. Then a stop at an abbey along the way, which was a good excuse to get off the bike for a bit and look around before carrying on. From there it heads into some woodland, quiet and shaded, a nice change of pace from the open river path. The real highlight was the finish though — out to a lake just as the sun was going down. Sky turning orange over the water, definitely worth stopping for a few photos before heading back into Kraków centre. Good mix of river, woods, history and scenery, well paced, and easy enough for anyone.

This was a fantastic tour. Our guide was great at explaining what we were seeing, the route we were taking, and making sure that we were handling the ride well. I felt very safe and loved the scenery. I didn't feel rushed, and we ended exactly on time. I would definitely take another tour like this again.

We took this countryside bike tour with Mike and it was the best way to end our week-long visit to Krakow. We had already explored much of the city on foot, so we scheduled a late afternoon bike tour that would take us through Krakow and out to the countryside. Mike was fun and super knowledgeable. The bikes were in excellent condition and the e-bike option made the hills a breeze (although the route was mostly flat and the hills were not too steep). If you are looking for something a bit outside of the norm, definitely book this tour. You won't be disappointed!

I came to Krakow with my husband as he had work. I booked the countryside tour a few weeks ago. I arrived at the shop and found I was the only person who booked for that day. The owner, Mike, took me on the tour and it was amazing. Mike was a fantastic guide and I learned a great deal about legends, history, monks, communism, culture and limestone. He was patient with me and was super nice. He also took all the photos of me that I wanted! I loved this tour. It was so nice to get out of the bustle of Krakow. Bike was in great shape. Highly recommended.

Our bike tour to the Abbey was amazing. We really enjoyed our adventure. Great bikes, wonderful bike paths, a little challenging on some of the hills, not for the faint hearted, but well worth the effort. The countryside is amazing and the abbey beautiful and interesting. Amazing trip out of the city & back! Chris was a wonderful guide as we went down the river, up the hill to a monastery, out and around to the wider area, and ultimately to a breathtaking view back down in to the city. If going up four short hills in this overall route is something you can do, you really should take the time with Chris to learn about Krakow from outside the core city in the best way -- on a bike!

We did the tour with Michael and we loved it. The tour is mostly flat and the scenery is beautiful. Vale very much worth it. 100% recommended !!

I really enjoyed this bike tour! The route was calm, interesting, and passed through incredibly beautiful places. It’s about 28 km, so if you’re unsure about your stamina, I recommend taking an e-bike. Everything was well-organized, and I loved every moment!
