Poças Guided Visit and Wine Tasting of 3 Port Wines

Description
With more than 100 years of existence, Poças lies in the hands of the 4th generation, being one of the very few Port Wine company that was born Portuguese and still belongs to the same Portuguese family. The Old Tawny Ports have built Poças’ reputation but DOC Douro wines have been proving their own quality over the last 30 years. Recently, Poças received the award of “Fortified wine producer of the year 2018” by the Portuguese magazine “Revista de Vinhos”. Additionally, welcoming about 28 000 visitors per year, our Visitor Center has been also distinguished with the Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence. We have plenty of different reasons for inviting you to be part of a true family atmosphere, to feel the unforgettable aroma of the noblest wines and to see up close a real day-to-day cellar routine.

Great tour of a really nice family run Port business. Historical location, great venue. tour guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and the port tasting was in a great location with generous samples.
Very good visit. Top-notch guide. Enjoy your tasting. Good value for money. I recommend it even with children. Be sure to book the tour to have a guide who speaks your language.
Standard company wine tour of their cellars. General overview and walkthrough. Seated for tasting at the end where you can purchase anything additional. Felt a little like it should have been free, but not a bad way to spend an hour. If you’re looking to have a cellar experience it checks the box.
Very friendly cellar. You get a very personal experience. I recommend visiting a cellar with Portuguese vs British origins. Loved our time here and the port wines were phenomenal. Bought 3 bottles to take home with us
Very informative and our guide was great. Port was lovely, could stay afterwards for drinks. Thank you
It was impressive and very well organized. The port was amazing and so was thé charcuterie board we ordered. Even though we arrived late , the guide gave us a quick tour of the facility before we left . Highly recommend .
nice explaining about the history and variety of wines good friendship with guests and between guests
Pretty lame No proper explanation as to how to “taste” or appreciate the different ports-the tour description was discombobulated and at times not relevant to our tour
Learned a lot, delicious port, and generous tasting pours! Would recommend to someone visiting Porto.
A perfect guide, clear explanations, very dynamic, adorable. We learned a lot. The tasting of the different Ports was impeccable, done seated with explanations about each product and advice. Great.
