Great private tour, tailored to the needs of my child. my daughter struggles with new places, and crowds, so we managed to give her time and space to get the best out of the tour. Great guide. Great gelato recommendation at the end Just check with Viator the time of your tower access ticket. We thought ours was within our tour time, but it was booked for after the tour had finished. We already had a private taxi booked for after the tour, so couldn't do the tower climb, but I daughter refused to do it anyway so worked out just fine. not the fault of the guide at all - she had told the tour advertisers the tower access time in advance
Our tour of Pisa with Maria was amazing! She was knowledgeable, engaging, and brought the city’s history to life in such a fun and memorable way. From the Leaning Tower to hidden gems, Maria shared fascinating stories and gave us great local tips. Her passion for Pisa is contagious! Highly recommend booking a tour with Maria — she made our visit truly special. Grazie mille, Maria! 🇮🇹
Great tour, tailored to the needs of our family. We went at a pace dictated by my daughter which was perfect The tower access wasn’t scheduled until our tour had finished, which we were not aware of, but my daughter was anxious about going up the tower anyway so it worked out just fine missing it out Would 100% recommend
This tour was very good and our guide was great, but there were no quizzes or scavenger hunts for the kids as described. We had one time where they weren’t sure we had access to all the elements and our time to climb the tower was at 1245 for our 10 o clock start tour that was supposed to be approximately 2.5 hours. That threw off our plan to go to Lucca in the afternoon by starting to climb after I assumed the tour would be over. I did really appreciate Gabriella’s knowledge and passion for sharing the information. Overall I’m glad we did the tour but it was not family/kid oriented like we’ve done with other groups and the timing of things was off. If we had climbed first we might have made it to the square but we ended at 12 because it would have been too tight to go to the square and back versus ending at the square.
This was, without a doubt, the best tour we have ever done. Maria Ilaria was absolutely phenomenal, had a fun scavenger hunt for the kids, and answered every single question we all had. She offered suggestions for the tour and let us pick the path we thought would be most enjoyable, and we spent extra time at the spots the kids were most interested in. She provided insight we could have never gotten on a self guided tour, and took time to explain specific history and stories from frescos in detail. She was warm, personable, and made our day in Pisa one of the absolute best possible. In chatting about Rome, she told us all sorts of cool things to look for the next day, it was truly the tour that keeps on giving.
The place is amazing and great. The guide was very personal, however we felt the engagement for the kids was very limited compared to other tours we’ve had dedicated for families with kids. It also went too slow outside the key buildings, leaving very little time for the tour inside the buildings. This was even more of a challenge as it was hit outside, and we’ve specifically asked to spend more time inside, yet most of the time was spent outside at the heat
Great tour for both adult and kids! Our guide is a local and shared her love with her city. Highly recommended!
Our tour guide, Marai Illaria, was very nice, knowledgeable and was very accommodating. All the information she shared during the tour were very relevant to my children’s world history and religion classes at school. A well deserved fun and educational tour for all of us. It was such a great experience!
Maria was sweet and knowledgeable, very passionate lady who is also family oriented and could keep my kid and teen entertained throughout the trip. Highly recommend!
We just love Maria's personality! She's the highlight of our Italy trip and would definitely recommend her to anyone who asks! She's both knowledgeable on the subject matter and she'll let you feel that you're well taken care of.
