Cooking with the best

I chose to go in the afternoon. I was the only person at that time slot. The place is amazing and the instructor was fabulous. I would go back again to learn other dishes

Thai cooking class

excellent cooking class learned a lot about Thai cooking Thai products being a vegetarian. We were a little bit skeptical but the shift did a great job. We made everything fresh from start to finish and would highly highly recommend for anybody who is in Bangkok and has some time we did a 6 to 9 class and it was perfect timing with dinner and everything must must do.

Must try if you love delicious Thai food and experiencing another culture

One of our favourite experiences in Thailand, the hosts were so lovely and informative. We loved getting to walk to the market first to learn about the ingredients and immerse ourselves in the culture through food. The food itself was AMAZING and the option for vegan alternatives was super appreciated, we were even taught which sauces could be swapped to make the dishes vegan. Full meal cooked by ourselves and so delicious would love to come again to learn some other dishes. Thank you Pimmy and team ☺️

Taste galore.

Kru Mee welcomed us in the morning, beginning with a tour of the local food market. She is a great chef and a teacher with warm, friendly approach. Besides, she speaks English well. We had wonderful hands-on experience, preparing tasty traditional Thai dishes, under her supervision. We would definitely recommend this activity to everyone interested.

Pink Chilli - Thai cooking class

We thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class with chef Pimmy. We got a tour of the local market 5 mins away from Pink Chilli’s Thai cooking class. We learned about the different types of vegetables used in daily Thai cuisine, as well as types of rice and types of meats. We learned how to make chicken red curry, papaya salad, fried shrimp with tamarind sauce, and mango sticky rice. After all the pestle & mortar pounding, knife chopping and a quick fry, we made our first real thai food. I would 100% recommend this class for all cooking levels. Fun experience plus a new skill added.

Friendly, fun, tasty and interesting

I came here with two of my sons (aged 14 and 17) who are both quite happy cooking but not exactly chefs. We all enjoyed it very much. There was only one other person - Lisa from Italy - so we made a foursome and that was really nice, too, We started with a walk around the local market which struck as as very much a food market for locals as there were no prices or labels in English. Our guide, Pimi, showed us different herbs and vegetables and also explained some of the essential sauces and spices you need to make Thai food. Then it was back to the kitchens (only a 2-3 minute walk) where we prepared four dishes - three main courses and some sticky rice and mango. We didn’t exactly prepare it all, but we certainly did enough to get a really good insight and to practise some of the skills. Pimi was very helpful in her explanations, too. Her English is good, if not perfect, and once we tuned into her accent we understood everything we needed to. We got to eat everything we had made. The Thai green curry and Pad Thai were really brilliant, as was the sticky rice and mango. We weren’t so keen on the other dish but it was ok, and a good contrast in flavour to the other dishes. We were all really pleased with this activity. It was very interesting, fun and memorable. I would recommend this kitchen, too, for sure.

Son Tom - So Yum

We really wanted to take a cooking class and needed something to do that was low effort due to all of the other activities we’d been participating in. We found Pink Chili with a Google search, because we wanted to find a place near us that was in walking distance from BTS Onnut location. Pink Chili had reasonable prices, perfect time slot and great menu option. Pimmy greeted us and led us to the market where she gave us a great briefing about the ingredients we were going to use. Though I’m half Thai, I still learned a lot. She let us roam the market for about 10 minutes, at which time I discovered great Thai tea (one of the better we tried). The class was enjoyable, easy to follow and fun!

Get ready to explore...

Get ready to explore local markets and cook simple Thai dishes under the guidance of owner Pimmy. Come with an open mind to learn more about local spices and favours. The activity is good for families to bond over cooking and food! We had been to Thailand numerous times and was looking for a different experience. We opted for the 9am slot or otherwise we would have woke up late and prob having breakfast and end up in a local mall. The experience ended by about 12+ leaving us with still alot of time for the rest of the day. We prepared the ingredients and cooked mango sticky rice, curry chicken, Tamarind prawns and tom yum goong. It was simple to follow and we were also provided recipes so we may try when we return to our home countries. We will definitely be back to learn other dishes.
