Wonderful, seeing things like this is always culture. A must-visit, just like any place in Italy

Amazing place to visit and explore. I enjoyed walking around. Nice atmosphire. The video about the picture was helpfull and interesting.

It is not just a picture gallery, it is the temple dedicated to Leonardo and his disciples, a collection that has no equal in the world! Then the "Basket of Fruit" by Caravaggio, which is worth the expensive entrance ticket, and the cartoon of the "School of Athens" by Raphael. But the picture gallery has much more. If the fifteenth/sixteenth-century collections are displayed in a masterful way, with lighting that should teach how works of art should be correctly illuminated; it is a pity that this attention ends suddenly with the seventeenth/eighteenth-century collections. As always for the Rococo, the role of the "servant". Few but precious paintings of the most exquisite Lombard school, with Carlo Innocenzo Carloni, Tiepolo, Magatti, and the masterpiece by Cesare Ligari once indicated as a Tiepolo... well, this treasure displayed in full light in front of windows makes aesthetic appreciation impossible, and so the "average" visitor skips the entire room. I hope that among the projects of the venerable Institution there are intentions aimed at the enhancement of this heritage, which is truly hidden here and crushed by the weight of the "neighbors" (Leonardo, Botticelli, Raphael, Caravaggio, etc.).

Something you must do if you go to Milan. You might get to see the best codex as the presentations change every 2 months.

Good Museum - lighting of artwork was best I have ever seen.

In the context of the initiative "a night at the museum," last night I visited the art gallery with my family. Beautiful artworks and interesting architecture. Critical notes: the path is not very well marked, and (this applies to many museums) the signs with information about the artworks are written in small print and are not very accessible (perhaps also due to the crowd).

The lightening alone was worth every cent!!!!! I have been in museums everywhere and this is the 1st time I could see and appreciate the entire exhibit. I don’t understand how major museums cannot figure this out.

Being able to see, in person the ACTUAL drawings and sketches and notes of Da Vinci was breathtaking!

Very cool place with a lot of art. You can see fascinating paintings and statues from many Renaissance and Ancient Roman artists. There are audio guides available for an extra 6 Euros. Expect to spend about 3 hours here to truly enjoy everything.

This was much better than expected good flow thru rooms not too busy, stairs. Religious art, artifacts, DaVinci codex and rare books
