Pikes Peak COG Railway & Garden of Gods Tour

Description
The Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak are two of the most famous attractions in Colorado, and we’ve packed them into a single tour. You get to explore the giant red rock formations in this National Natural Landmark during your picnic lunch before you ride the Cog Railway to the highest summit in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains at 14,115 feet. Be prepared for communal, conversational seating (meaning opposing rows face each other, typical of train travel). For taller guests, that means you may be knocking knees a bit. To ride comfortably, we recommend that you strategically sit across from a short person. You're certainly not required to chat with the people across from you, even if you came together. But who knows! You might make a friend and have some laughs or a fun "small world" moment. We love those!

A wonderful tour that exceeded my expectations. The COG train was fabulous, a comfortable, well commentated and scenic ride. Jerry was a great tour guide. Highly recommend.
Such a breathtaking excursion and our guide, Gable, was very knowledgeable and it is obvious he loves Colorado and the beautiful outdoors. Garden of the God is so beautiful and the trip to Pikes Peak was amazing. At the top of Pikes Peak we experienced sunshine and beautiful views with some rain and hail that made the adventure that much more exciting. Bring a light jacket to the top as the temperatures drop quite a bit from the base.
We had a great guide, Jason, and he was informing and engaging. Highly recommend
Jason was very knowledgeable, and funny! Tour was well worth it and got to see some amazing sights, would recommend
This tour was disappointing. The vans are not luxury! They are white, regular passenger vans where you feel every bump in the road and the air conditioning doesn't work well. The "picnic" lunch was at the roadside, at a table in the full sun and consisted of a sandwich, chips and water. We were had a unscheduled stop where we were dumped in a small town after the train ride to do "shopping". The train ride was the only part that was enjoyable and of value.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry this tour was not the right fit for the experience you were expecting. To clarify, this tour is operated in passenger touring vans, and while we describe the experience as upscale, we do not intend to represent the vehicles as luxury coaches. We understand that vehicle comfort, road conditions, and air conditioning performance can affect the experience, especially during very hot weather, and we appreciate that feedback. The lunch on this tour is a simple but fresh picnic-style lunch, typically sandwiches, chips, and water, served where timing and route logistics allow. We understand that this may not have matched what you were hoping for. We’re glad you enjoyed the train ride, but we’re sorry the overall experience did not meet your expectations. We’ll continue reviewing how we describe the tour so guests have a clear understanding of the vehicle style, lunch format, and itinerary structure before booking.
Our guide Jason was great. Very fun guy who grew up in the Pikes Peak area and shared a lot of interesting info and stories throughout our tour. We enjoyed our time in both Garden of the Gods and at the top of Pikes Peak. Both were very beautiful and interesting places. Riding the cog railway to the top of Pikes Peak was such a cool experience. We also enjoyed poking around the town of Manitou Springs with lots of cute shops and places for eats and drinks. Overall, this was a great tour!
These are NOT luxury vans. These are standard Chevy vans where you feel every bump and the air conditioning doesn't work well. Lunch was at the side of the road in a pull off area, sandwich and chips with water and out in the sun. After the long train ride we were dumped in a sketchy old town to shop. Train ride was only part that was worth it.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the vehicle and lunch experience did not meet your expectations. On this particular day, we were operating with a rental vehicle, and we understand that it did not provide the same level of comfort as the vehicles we typically use for this tour. Vehicle comfort is an important part of the guest experience, and we are reviewing this internally. Regarding lunch, this tour includes a simple picnic-style lunch, typically sandwiches, chips, and water, served during the itinerary where timing and location allow. We understand that the setting did not feel ideal to you, and we appreciate that feedback as we continue to improve the experience. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the train ride, but we’re sorry the overall tour did not meet expectations.
Jerry was amazing. Full of knowledge, fun stories, and was a great photographer. Up the mountain on the cog railway was a wonderful experience.
The tour leader was fantastic - made the whole trip and Jason was really knowledgeable and full of helpful hints and local attractions
It was easy to book and information provided about the tour and where to meet, was well detailed. The was fun and we did everything that was described. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly and kept the group engaged as we got to know each other.
