Pierogi Cooking Class: Mastering the Art of Polish Dumplings

This class exceeded our expectations. Sylwia taught us from start to finish in a way we can (hopefully) duplicate at home. We can't wait to try out her recipes for ourselves. We couldn't have asked for a better teacher and the best of it, we got to eat everything we made! Delicious!

Magda F taught our group so much about the culture, background and skills needed to make pierogis. Our group from 5 different countries created a delicious meal and gained more appreciation of the Polish culture.

If I could give this experience more than five stars, I absolutely would! The Delicious Poland cooking class was one of the highlights of our trip to Kraków. From the moment we arrived, everything was so well organised and welcoming. The class was held in a beautiful restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere, making it feel like much more than just a cooking lesson—it was a true celebration of Polish food and culture. A huge thank you goes to Magda, who was simply outstanding. Magda was friendly, funny, patient, and made everyone feel instantly at ease. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and she created such a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere that everyone was chatting and laughing together within minutes. Magda is a wonderful teacher and a fantastic ambassador for Polish cuisine. What I loved most about Delicious Poland is how passionate they are about preserving Poland’s culinary heritage. Learning how to make traditional pierogi wasn’t just about cooking—it was about understanding the history, traditions, and pride behind these wonderful recipes. You can really tell that Delicious Poland cares deeply about sharing authentic Polish culture with visitors. The class was perfect for everyone. We took part as a family, but it would also be fantastic for couples, groups of friends, solo travellers, and children. It’s such a hands-on, interactive experience that everyone gets involved, and it’s a brilliant way to meet other people from around the world. And the best part? The pierogi were absolutely delicious! There’s something incredibly satisfying about sitting down to enjoy food that you’ve made yourself, especially when it’s guided by someone as encouraging and knowledgeable as Magda. If you’re visiting Kraków, make time for a class with Delicious Poland. It’s fun, authentic, welcoming, brilliantly organised, and leaves you with wonderful memories (and new cooking skills to take home!). What a great fun experience, Olga was brilliant. Everything was well organized and friendly, after making the Pierogi we sat and ate them, absolutely delicious. Really recommend this cooking day.

We had the best time making pierogis with Magda. She gave very positive, helpful and clear instruction and supported us with each step. After this class, I'm excited to make pierogis at home. I definitely recommend this class to anyone looking for a unique and delicious experience during their time in Krakow.

The experience is hosted at a restaurant just northwest of Old Town. Olga was a fantastic teacher! Would recommend as a fun family activity in Krakow!

Really enjoyed the Pierogi Cooking Class: Mastering the Art of Polish Dumplings it was a great very nostalgic experience for me. I remember watching and helping my mum making pierogi when I was growing up. I'd never made them from scratch though. Our instructor, Sylvia, was wonderful taking our class through the process step by step and giving us lots of helpful hints and advice along the way. The making of the dumplings was both easy and relaxing under her expert instruction. We made both cheese and potato and fruit pierogi which we were able to eat during the workshop.
