Itinerary
From Izmır to Pamukkale.
The Pamukkale Travertines, located in Denizli, Turkey, are one of the world’s most unique natural formations. They consist of bright white terraces made of calcium carbonate, created by thermal spring waters flowing down the hillside for thousands of years. As the hot mineral-rich water cools, it deposits layers of limestone, forming the dazzling snow-white cascades that resemble frozen waterfalls. Visitors can walk barefoot on designated areas of the terraces and even bathe in the warm, mineral-rich pools, which are believed to have healing properties. The surreal beauty of the travertines, combined with the ancient ruins of Hierapolis above them, makes Pamukkale a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Turkey’s most iconic natural wonders.
Pamukkale and Hierapolis together are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, attracting visitors from all over the world for their unique blend of natural beauty, historical significance, and therapeutic thermal waters.

This was such a good trip! We weren't sure whether to pay up for a private tour but it was one of the best decisions we made. The trip is very long but we saved time by getting picked up straight from our hotel and not waiting for another bunch of people. The van was very comfortable, there was WiFi, even. And reclining seats! Our guide Berkan (Bob) was very knowledgeable and we spent some time talking about early religion. He was very accommodating and decided to let us ask about the things we were interested in and then discuss those topics. Our driver Savaş was amazing too, we had a bit of car trouble and he genuinely drove really smoothly despite it. Very nice guy too! Genuinely one of the best tours we've done, I'm so happy we booked it and I recommend these guys to everyone! We went to Cappadocia, Izmir and Istanbul too but this was definitely the best part of our trip. Lunch was great too, we had a local pide with a clotted cream one for dessert and a nice salad, we would have probably never been there without our amazing guide recommendeding it. Anyway, I could go on but these guys were amazing and if you're wondering if you should book, yes you should!
Our guide Ali was fantastic! We toured the ruines, bathed in the termal pools, shopped, and drank wine! Best day ever!
