Next at La Catedral, Pablo´s private prison, lush hillside to enjoy panoramic city views and to visualize how he decided to work with the Colombian government at one point.
The tour leaves La Catedral as you are informed about Escobar´s escape and the upcoming pursuit that lasted 18 months until he finally got caught. At Los Olivos community, visit the block and the houses where Pablo got shot. Was it suicide or what has exactly happened? Make your own conclusions after hearing your guide´s information.
Next, tour stops at the cemetery where Pablo rests along with his family members. Take this opportunity to learn how Pablo got started by the black widow (Griselda Blanco), whose grave is located just steps from his.
Finally, the tour takes you to one of the humblest communities where you´ll realize how Medellin went from the most violent to the most innovative city in the world. At comuna 13 you will understand how Medellin has been so resilient by admiring the colorful street art and outstanding infrastructure such as the largest outdoor escalator in America.

An excellent tour of Medellin and the history of Escobar
An excellent tour! David was a fantastic guide, very professional and with a lot of knowledge of the history of Medellin. He took us to the most important sites related to Escobar’s life, with great respect and focus on security. We learned a lot about the evolution of Medellin. David is very nice and treated us like family. Highly recommended!

Definitely worth the experience!
The tour was really good. Daniel was very informative and passionate about the history of Medellin. He even took me to some other places that was not actually probably part of the tour, but wanted to show me the real slums. They actually took me on the wrong tour and at first I thought I booked the wrong tour, but I reached out to them afterwards and they managed to fit in the Pablo Escobar part of the tour on a future day. A++ for customer service!

David was an amazing guide! We went with another couple and it ended up being a private tour for our group. He customized it especially for us and got us back to the hotel exactly the time that we needed to be to get ready for a wedding we were in town for. We learned all about PE and saw Communa 13 and learned all about beautiful Medellín. It was the perfect tour for us and would definitely look for David on our next trip to Medellín!
