The Grand Tour by bus and walking was great. It was a lovely sunny day in Oslo. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and this portion of the tour. If you don't mind walking, you will enjoy the Vigeland Sculpture Park, Holmenkollen Ski Jump, Viking Ship Museum, Tiki Museum and FRAM. I would strongly recommend it to anyone who wants a pleasurable day exploring Oslo. Our Tour Guide was very informative and made this tour quite enjoyable. Our driver was super. Very punctual and always concerned for our safety. The Oslo Fjord Cruise was okay. It might have been more enjoyable if someone took the time to explain that you needed to bring a phone and headphones to understand the important sights as you went up and down the Fjord.
My only complaint was at the drop off site was different from the pick up site and we did not know this in advance and we had transportation from the site
I strongly recommend this tour. Within 7 hours we had a bus tour of the city and several stops: the Fram museum (my favorite), the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History with interesting old buidings, Frogner park with Vigeland's statues and a ski jumping hill Holmenkollbakken. Our guide Nicholas was very informative and helpful during the tour. The bus was modern and very comfortable. We finished out tour with an Oslo Fjord cruise and had lots of pics taken.
We had a very good experience with the Oslo Combo Tour. We were met exactly at the promised time, and the meeting point was clearly described and conveniently located near Nationaltheatret metro station. Everything included in the itinerary was visited as promised and according to schedule. We covered a large part of Oslo and saw all the main stops included in the tour. A special thank you to our guide Christoffer and our driver Victor, who worked very well as a team. Victor drove carefully and professionally, and both were friendly and polite. Christoffer was very knowledgeable about Oslo and was happy to answer all the questions that came up during the tour. The bus was full, but the tour still felt well organised. The transfer from the bus tour to the fjord cruise was also very easy – we were dropped off only about 20 metres from where we needed to board. The price was around €145 per person. Overall, a very smooth and well-organised way to see a lot of Oslo in one day.
Great tour . Guide was excellent and driver as well . We really enjoyed the tour and sense of humor of the excellent guide . Even though he is old , he was amazing and very knowledgeable and Cristal clear his explanations .
This was a good use of my time in Oslo. We saw most of the major sights in town. The guide was fantastic!
Overall the trip was fun and people learned a lot. Our guide was knowledgeable and our kids actually listened and learned about Norwegian history. It was quick at some places, and I wish we had more time like at the ski jump so we could do one experience or hike and at the Folkmuseum. The fjord tour was disappointing. It was a short ride out into the bay. Very little to see and not very interesting.
Our tour guide was great, told many interesting stories with his own experience and feelings. Wonderful way to understand Norway culture and history.
The directions were not clear this is the 2nd time we had issues finding the meeting point from your information. I called as the taxi dropped at the wrong Speral site. I immediately called Viator for assistance. She had no luck contacting the bus to let them know we were coming (got another taxi). We saw the bus pull away as the taxi pulled up - we attempted to follow it with no luck. I called Viator again to see if we could pick the bus up at a stop. The assistant once again tried to contact the guide to let us know. A good spot to meet. He said no one would answer his call, I asked for a refund he said no. Customer service is horrendous! As I read many of your reviews finding meeting points is an issue. We are visiting by ship, would be nice to get clear directions from the ports. Extremely disappointed as we have used Viator regularly. Will look for alternatives!
The chance to visit the legendary Holmenkollen Ski Jump, along with exploring both the Fram Museum and the Norsk Folkemuseum was quite the experience. If you're also interested in taking a canal cruise around the Oslofjord, then this is the tour for you.
