A friendly professional guide

I booked Theo from Australia and truly could not have chosen a better guide! With so many years of experience, Theo was full of knowledge and information that we soaked up daily. As we wanted a tailored experience, he took us everywhere we wished to go — from a Sunday church service, to a private wine tasting and tour at Babylonstoren Wine Estate, to exploring Table Mountain and the vibrant Bo-Kaap. Wherever we went, Theo ensured our comfort and safety, even staying at restaurants until we were ready to leave so he could see us home safely. He went above and beyond what we asked — from taking our men for a haircut, to suggesting fantastic local spots for lunch, including where we tried Cape Town’s famous Gatsby! By the end of our trip, Theo didn’t just feel like a guide — he felt like family. We are so grateful to have met him and cannot recommend him highly enough. Thank you, Theo. God bless you and your family.

100% worth it

We had such an awesome time with Gilbert on our walking tour of Cape Town. Honestly, he went above and beyond. Not only did he give us so much insight into the history of the city, but he also shared incredible stories from his own childhood and personal experiences, which made it all feel so real and memorable. He took us to meet some amazing people along the way and even pointed out all the must-try food spots l which we definitely appreciated! Can’t recommend him enough, honestly. If you’re thinking about doing a tour, just book with Gilbert. 100% worth it. Thank you so much! Harry 🇦🇺 and Rej 🇩🇪

A perfect introduction to Cape Town

Gilbert was the perfect guide for our first day in Cape Town. He provided is with a great overview of the city while mixing in the history and points of interest. We loved the fact that he shared family history that brought many of the areas to life and that he tailored the trip to our needs.

Not worth it.wqate or time.

This was a waste of time and energy. We went to District 6 and walked uphill to a university campus, walked by an elementary school and on to Woodstock area which is industrial and boring. We saw nothing of interest. We ended in a street market, but we had to walk quite a ways and past a lot of homeless people. I did not expect a grand tour but this was worthless. I do not recommend this tour at all.

No Show

I was very excited for this tour and learning more about the area and history. Unfortunately, our guide never showed up. We reached out and didn’t hear back for over three hours. I definitely understand things happen and can empathize, just wish we had communication to not waste our time. Still waiting for a refund.

Disappointing.

Kim (taking over from her mom who was poorly so couldn’t do the tour) was lovely. We got along well, but the tour did not fully reflect what i’d paid for. I basically only visited the District Six museum and the Castle of Good Hope, and ended up at the Mill. I did NOT visit the Fugard theatre, St Mary’s Anglican church, the Woodstock exchange and the Heart of Cape Town museum. Definitely not worth the money i spent.
