45 min

Stop at the Purple Island, also known as Jazirat bin Ghanim, about an hour's drive from Doha. It is a small island, connected to the mainland by a narrow path that is broken at different points to allow water to flow towards the mangrove forest.

30 min

Located about 35-40 km from Doha, the Al Thakira beach makes an ideal location for swimming, sunbathing or spending a laid-back day at the beach. The beach offers serene views of Qatar’s largest and oldest dense mangroves reserves.

60 min

Al Zubarah is Qatar’s largest archaeological heritage site. It was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013 and is the best-preserved example of an eighteenth – nineteenth century trading and pearl fishing town in the Gulf region. Unlike its contemporaries, it is largely intact and has not been lost beneath the region’s vast modern cities. The site, located approximately 100 km northwest of Doha, stretches 2.5 km from the Al Zubarah Fort to the coast. Founded in the mid-eighteenth century, the town developed into the country’s largest and most important settlement. Its success attracted the attention of other Gulf powers, and after several attacks the town was burned to the ground in 1811. By the first decades of the 20th century, it was abandoned. Today, the site covers an area of 60 hectares with remains of houses, Masajid (mosques), Madhabis (date presses), large, fortified buildings, and a market.

30 min

A visit to Al Khor, located at 50 kilometers north of the capital, Doha. Considered one of Qatar's largest cities. Al Khor is home to many employees of the oil industry due to its proximity to Qatar's northern oil and natural gas fields and to Ras Laffan Industrial City.

North tour With Wadood

We had the pleasure of having Mr. Wadood as our guide for the North Tour in Qatar, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. His knowledge of the region was excellent—he shared interesting historical and cultural insights that made every stop far more meaningful. The SUV was spotlessly clean and very comfortable throughout the day. Most importantly, Mr. Wadood was consistently respectful, professional, and attentive, which made us feel completely at ease. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him and would highly recommend Mr. Wadood to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, reliable, and courteous guide in Qatar. Thank you for a memorable tour.

Enjoyable history learning tour

Our driver is Adnan and it is extremely pleasant experience - he introduces different landmarks along the way and the history of Doha, very knowledgeable about the sites we visit and is patient and kind. Always nice to learn the history of a country and how does it come to it today; love Qatar as well!

A great 4hrs of site visits and history north of Doha

We had a wonderful guide Adnan, who provided us with a very insightful tour. It opened our eyes to the history outside of Doha. He was a careful driver who ensured our safety and dropped us off back to our hotel right on time. I can highly recommend Adnan and this tour.

Amazing North Qatar Tour

Adnan was an amazing guide! So helpful and informative. Best tour I’ve done! Was such a hot day, vehicle was very well maintained, only 5 people on our tour in a big 4x4. AC worked perfect and even gave us cold drinking water. Thank you for a great experience seeing the northern part of the country.

An easy half day trip away from Doha

This was an enjoyable morning tour to the north of Qatar that easily fit into my short stopover in Doha. Our guide, Adnan, picked me up right in time, explained the sights, and answered any questions we had. I would recommend for anyone looking to spend a few hours away from Doha.
