Incredible journey

We had a fantastic day, and can't thank Alan enough for his hospitality. He had proactively adjusted the tour to avoid heavy traffic, which meant we still did a good amount of activities. He kindly offered to help take photos, shared facts and legends about the area, and drove well on the road. It was worth getting to know Scotland a bit more intimately and recommend this tour to anyone. We visited Slains Castle (don't miss this!), a Puffin nesting site, several harbours and the Dolphin Sanctuary. He adjusted timings as we went, to ensure we stayed on track and had the appropriate amount of time at each spot.

Lots of driving - not a lot to see and do

We enjoyed this tour and feel we saw a lot of the coast outside of Aberdeen. That said, almost all the time was spent driving as compared to the time actually seeing and experiencing things. The coast is lovely, but a lot of the stops are 5 minutes to take a photo. The lunch stop provided only a few options that had availability (tables) at the time we stopped. Our guide was okay, but answered too many questions saying he didn’t know. Overall, we enjoyed the day, but cannot unconditionally recommend this experience,

A Perfect Scottish Day with Douglas

It was a truly memorable journey through Scotland’s breathtaking coastal areas and rich history, led by our fantastic Rabbie’s tour guide and driver, Douglas. Friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful, he took great care of everyone, shared fascinating stories at every stop, and kept the trip entertaining from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the best of Scotland

Educational and Informative

While it may seem more extravagant to pay for a tour one can do on one’s own, it is unlikely that you will either have the same amount of local knowledge as a tour guide or have the same degree of satisfaction from having immersed oneself more into the environment. As a bonus, this can be done without having to keep your eyes on the road (or glued to a navigation system- which does not always know best). On this tour, participants are offered an array of sights and experiences , on this occasion with Daryl, along with a liberal taste of humour within a relaxed atmosphere.

This is an amazing tour!! We got super lucky and saw dolphins, seals, and puffins!! Our tour guide Neil C did a fantastic job telling us history facts and stories along the way. Lunch is Cullen was really good with plenty of options, and there were also plenty of bathroom breaks. Would highly recommend.

We saw a puffin, thanks to Darryl!

Darryl made this a fun day for us! We had done a tour the previous day that had some duplications, and Darryl adjusted for us. We saw The Maiden Stone (a standing stone), stopped in Huntly at a shortbread factory (with a great gift shop), visited a distillery, saw seals and Fiddle Bow Rock, stopped in Cullen for Cullen Skink, visited a rock shop at Portsoy harbor, stopped at the ruins of Deer Abbey, and helped us spot a puffin at the Bullers of Buchan (we had been there 2 days earlier and didn't see any!). We had already been to Slain's Castle, so while the others on the tour visited there, Darryl dropped us off at Kilmarnock Arms Hotel so we could see where Bram Stoker wrote part of Dracula. We had a great time! I would recommend this tour!
