Truly a magical experience, we loved the olive oil and wine tasting and the local lunch was top notch. We can't recommend this enough!
Our tour was amazing all around. Nice was so beautiful and the food was so good. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and so nice. C'etait magnifique!
Great experience to walk around Nice and explore the various food options and history. Our guide Isabelle was very knowledgeable.
Our guide was Ara, and she was wonderful. Our tour ended up being just two of us, so it was like taking a walk around town with a friend. The portions were generous compared to other food tours I have experienced, and Ara’s commentary was informative and engaging. Highly recommend taking this tour your first day in Nice!
Very overpriced for the experience provided. Our guide was nice but lacking the knowledge about the city. Recommendations provided were generic and her answers sounded like she looked them up rather than shared her experience living in Nice forc20 years.
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry the tour didn't meet your expectations. Our guide has lived in Nice for many years and always strives to share local insights alongside guests' interests. While we're glad you found her friendly, we're disappointed to hear the experience didn't resonate with you. We appreciate your comments and will use them to continue improving our tours.
Family of four (19 and 14 year old daughters) and we had a great time. Our tour guide Ara was kind and helped the kids practice the French they learned in school. The 3.5 hour time advertised is accurate and feels like the right amount of time for the 5 different stops. Stop 1 was an olive oil + balsamic vinegar tasting place. The oils and vinegars tasted really interesting but were served alone rather than with bread or another food. Because we only got about ~1 minute to focus on each flavor, after a while everything started to blend together and taste strange. Stop 2 was a wine tasting place with a great atmosphere and air conditioning. There were 3 lovely wines served with bread, cheese, and charcuterie, plus juice for the 14 year old which she enjoyed. This was probably our favorite stop; only note is my husband said he would have enjoyed more personal attention from the employees to be able to talk about the wines. Stop 3 was an outdoor place where we had Niçoise specialities like a chickpea pancake and salad. The service was not super attentive but the food and atmosphere were great. Stop 4 was a famous Niçoise ice cream shop where it was quite crowded and overwhelming. This particular stop felt slightly rushed as we weren't able to sample flavors, and there were so many to choose from. We got violet, chocolate orange, cherry, and apricot which were all delicious. Stop 5 (the final one) was a chocolate shop where we had chocolate covered almonds, candied clementines, and then were each given a choice of a small chocolate. The shop itself dates back to Victorian times and is very pretty. The chocolate itself is good but not especially unique. Ara was, again, a lovely guide, but the facts and history given on the tour were a bit superficial. When we asked for shopping and dinner recommendations the responses were vague. For a local who has lived in Nice for 20 years the expectations were higher than what was delivered. My daughters both thought she was very fun and attentive. Overall, the food tour was fun, but the price tag of ~ 400€ is hard to justify, considering the amount of food and facts about Nice given.
Fun tour and lots of food, lovely guide
Lady Ara who guided us was very good guid, the best trip in Nicea, delicious food
This was a wonderful food tour! Our guide was Vanessa and she did a fantastic job. We had plenty to eat, learned a lot of history about Nice, and enjoyed an afternoon meeting new people. I highly recommend this tour!
Our guide was very knowledgeable of the history of the region and did an excellent job of weaving that history in with the food we experienced.
