Just outside of Newport Bay is the beginning of one of the largest marine protected areas in southern California created to protect this rich ecosystem for future generations. The protected marine sanctuary covers over 15 miles and provides a haven for all marine creatures including whales and dolphin. With such amazing habitat for mammals so close to Newport Bay, whale watching cruises of 2-2.5 hours is all that is needed for viewing these giants. Fun outing, nice staff, comfortable boat, be sure to take Dramamine if you get the slightest seasick
We had a great time. The tour guide was really good at what she does and made it fun. We saw a whale a few times but just his back but that’s out of anyone’s control. Me and my kids had a great time no the less.
The e patience was great. We were lucky enough to get several looks at an active humpback whale on our excursion. Friendly, polite, enthusiastic staff. Well worth the admission fee. Perfect length of time on the water. Not too crowded.
Had a great time! Didn’t see any whales but we did see a huge pod of common dolphins! The staff was helpful and knowledgeable.
They changed the start time less than 24hours the experience was supposed to start. The new start time did not work since we were traveling. We asked for a refund since we would not be able to make the new time in such short notice. They never responded, and ultimately we have felt scammed.
It was a nice experience. We saw a lot of dolphins. The crew was experienced and steered the ship to the right places. I was dismayed, however, to find that both bathrooms on the ship were out of order.

Fun experience got to see a ton of dolphins! Locating the boarding area was confusing but the adventure itself was fun and well worth it!
