How knowledgeable the guides were about every historical landmark. My wife loved every side joke the guide told us.
Dear Corey, Thank you for sharing your fantastic feedback about your City Sightseeing New Orleans experience! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed discovering the city’s fascinating history and that our guides’ knowledge of the historical landmarks made the tour especially enjoyable. We’re even happier to hear that your wife loved the guides’ jokes and sense of humour! A great sightseeing experience is about more than simply seeing the landmarks, and it’s wonderful to know that our team added that extra touch of fun to your visit. We hope to welcome you both back to New Orleans for another City Sightseeing tour and more stories, history and laughs! Kind regards, The City Sightseeing New Orleans Team
We had a one-day pass experience in New Orleans on August 17, 2026. Most of the tour was good, and the drivers and guides were very nice. We were able to enjoy most of the stops, even despite the rain that day. But there was one guide, Ray, who made very inappropriate comments and opinions during the tour. Ray was very negative and presented information as if he had a chip on his shoulder. We especially were concerned about his comments while passing a statue of a young David from the Bible. The statue depicts a young David, holding the sling and stone, with a determined look on his face as he prepares to battle with Goliath. When someone is facing a battle with a giant, that person would look very determined! Ray went on to explain that this was a very controversial statue and it depicts David more like a gang leader than God's chosen leader. It is obvious that Ray did not understand the context of the statue. This is just one example of his narration. His attitude really soured our experience. As a tour guide, Ray needs to understand that his responsibility is to state information about historical events and keep his opinions to himself. We do not need to hear about how terrible one group was during whatever time period or hear how he feels insulted when someone says he's southern instead of Creole. We are visiting the beautiful city of New Orleans and we do not want to be insulted either!
Totally worth it! It takes you to 18 stops, and they narrate the rich history of New Orleans! As another person mentioned in a previous review, it’s best to do a full loop, then you can decide where you would want to go. Elroy was our bus driver, and he was very attentive, helpful, and nice! Jaimie was our guide that narrated the history of NOLA, and she was very enthusiastic, engaging, friendly, and funny. Together, they made our tour enjoyable! At some point later in the day, they switched staff, and we got Linda as our guide, and she was also very helpful, nice, and informative. For first-timers, it’s a definite must-do tour.
Thank you so much for this fantastic and detailed review! We’re delighted to hear that you found the City Sightseeing New Orleans tour well worth it and that the 18 stops gave you a great opportunity to explore the city while learning about its rich and fascinating history. It’s wonderful to hear such kind words about Elroy, Jaimie and Linda. We’re especially pleased that their attentiveness, enthusiasm, humour and local knowledge helped make your sightseeing experience in NOLA so enjoyable. We’ll be sure to share your compliments with the whole team! Your tip about taking a full loop first is also a great way for first-time visitors to get an overview of New Orleans before deciding which attractions and neighbourhoods to explore in more depth. Thank you for recommending City Sightseeing New Orleans to first-time visitors. We hope to welcome you back on board on your next visit!
Had a great experience with Dustin who went out of his way to help my elderly mother. Such a well mannered and genuinely kind young man. Not a great experience on the busses. First one was good until the bus stopped for about 10 minutes but no one was getting off or on. Driver (Leroy?) smiled at us and said something about a cold beer for later in the day and opened the tip box. I watched him take out several bills and put them in his pocket which I didnt think anything of until the tour guide came downstairs and asked him if the bus was okay. She then asked why he was in the tips. It was very awkward. He said he was looking for money he thought was missing but I watched what he had done. I am traveling with my 67 year old mother and sister and we didnt want to get involved. Tour guide told him she was disappointed in him and the rest of the commentary had a tone that reflected that. Air conditioning stopped working half way to the next stop. Leroy also made a phone call while driving the bus and was cursing loudly for the next few stops where we decided to hop off and wait for the next one. Please dont talk on the phone and drive. My mother did not appreciate the loud cursing. Very inconsiderate and disrespectful experience. I cant recommend this tour and though my sister booked this- I will make we dont again. Leroy is an unsafe, inconsiderate and untrustworthy driver.
Hi Amber, we’re very sorry your experience left you and your mother feeling uncomfortable and unsafe. The concerns you described are serious and do not reflect the experience we expect our guests to receive. We appreciate you recognizing Dustin’s helpful service, and we’re glad he made a positive impression. Please email us at info@citysightseeingneworleans.com so we can locate your reservation and follow up appropriately.
The tour was awesome and very informative. I’m from New Orleans and didn’t know half of the information I learned on the tour. Definitely would do it again or take family to do it when they come in town.

It’s especially rewarding to know that even as a New Orleans local, the tour gave you a fresh perspective on the city’s fascinating history and landmarks. We’d love to welcome you back again, and it would be our pleasure to show your family around New Orleans when they come to visit! Thank you for recommending City Sightseeing New Orleans, and we look forward to seeing you on board again soon!
The tour bus was clean and you could sit upper or lower deck...Tour Guide was very good, gave some history and some fun info all along the way Tour covered the city if you didn't have time for specific tours. You could hop on and off if you wanted to but our time was limited so we did the full tour without getting off.
Excellent way to see New Orleans! Friendly staff. Only complaint is that most of the guides are hard to understand or have annoying voices. It would be better to have a professionally done narration and guides turn it on and off and are available for questions and assistance.
Thank you Gena for sharing your detailed feedback about your City Sightseeing New Orleans experience. We’re delighted to hear that you found the Hop-On Hop-Off bus a great way to explore New Orleans and that our staff made you feel welcome. We’re sorry to hear that the live commentary was not always easy for you to understand and that you did not enjoy some of the guides’ voices. We appreciate your suggestion regarding professionally recorded narration, and we will certainly share your feedback with our local team as we continue working to improve the sightseeing experience. We hope you still enjoyed discovering the unique history, culture and landmarks of New Orleans with City Sightseeing, and we would be delighted to welcome you on board again.
The bus did not have air conditioning working! Had to go upstairs on the top of the bus if you have a problem walking had to climb up small stairs because it was too hot down stairs.
Thank you Janice for sharing your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear that the air conditioning was not working properly on the lower deck of the City Sightseeing New Orleans bus. We understand how uncomfortable this must have been, particularly in the heat, and we also appreciate that using the stairs to reach the upper deck may not be a suitable alternative for every passenger. Your comments are important to us, and we will share this feedback with our local team so that the issue can be reviewed and addressed. We sincerely apologize that this affected your sightseeing experience in New Orleans and hope we have the opportunity to provide you with a much more comfortable journey in the future.
It is well worth the fee. What a great way to get an overall view of the city and what it offers !!!

The tour was very informative. It was a little hot on the bus but it was worth the money to get on and get off at different places and be able to explore the New Orleans area
