I’m reviewing this tour right after returning to my hotel room from the tour. Honestly, very happy but a little buzzed. Our fun guide Liselot took us to breweries where she taught us about the two lineages of beer: Ales and Lagers. Who knew? We tried dark, lite, lagers, ales, with and without chocolate and cheese. All the while we visited famous local bars, including one proudly proclaiming itself to be a troll cave…which we entered. Most of the beer was great, some not so much to me but others fantastic. I suppose that’s the purpose of a beer tour. Walking through Ghent for my first time was a treat; everywhere I looked there was an amazing building, church, or canal. Such a beautiful city…AND, beer! Had a great time. Highly recommended. Do this tour if you like beer, like to learn about a incredibly beautiful city, enjoy a few hours with new friends over beers and good conversation.
LOVED this tour! We really enjoyed the approach to beer tasting, testing out the different flavors of roasted barley. It’s clear that the owner of the tour company loves and understands beer. The locations were beautiful, interesting and fun. She also gave us great recommendations for other places to try after the tour and we went to a few.

Fantastic experience from start to finish! Our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about Belgian beer. We visited a great mix of authentic bars, tasted a wide variety of excellent beers, and learned a lot about Ghent’s brewing history along the way. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun, and the tour struck the perfect balance between education and enjoyment. Wonderful day of touring and beer tasting (with chocolate pairings!!)! The highlight was the Delirium brewery….. Lisalot’s inside connections within the brewery allowed us to have the most amazing private experience with Jose De Bock, who has been there over 30 years. Incredible!
