Choose between different levels of difficulty and routes: LEVEL 1 SUN AND MOON LAGOONS ROUTE During this tour you will be able to discover the greatest treasure of this natural site, the lagoons of the "Sun" and the "Moon". Level 2 LAGOONS AND BELL TOWER ROUTE In addition to visiting the lagoons of the "Sun" and the "Moon". We make an ascent to the upper bell tower, where you can appreciate wonderful views. Level 3 PICO DEL FRAILE SUMMIT ROUTE We will walk through a forest, an area of rocks and sand. In this private tour, our accredited guide will pick you up at your hotel or address in Mexico City (CdMX) or in Toluca and will take you to this incredible place for hiking. Get to know the fourth highest mountain in Mexico and its two beautiful lagoons that are among the highest in the world. You will visit the crater of this volcano called Xinantécatl (4860 masl) and the spectacular lagoons "El Sol" and "La Luna". The return is at the same starting point. Note: One way transportation time is about 2 hours

This was our first time on volcano, it was amazing .The guide provided us with all the helpful info we needed. Difficulty was moderate, but be prepared for a mountain sickness.

In fact, only a very small percentage of those who visit the mountain are affected, as the ability to adapt to altitude largely depends on genetic factors. Some individuals may be more sensitive to high elevation and react this way, but most of our visitors acclimatize without significant issues.
