This bike tour is based on our most popular tour, Nara Highlights, but without Yoshikien Garden and reserved for families with kids who can ride a bike. No E-bike nor Child seats are available. As it is a private family tour, you can be sure that your guide will take extra care of your group, and adjust and adapt the tour based on your preferences. Ride through Nara Park and Admire the animals living there
Enter Todaiji Temple and see the biggest Buddha statue of Japan and learn about the history of the city.
Visit the Kikuichi Knife shop, former Samurai Sword maker and actual cooking knives maker. Learn about Knives and buy some if you wish to. Free engraving can be asked when you visit on our tour.
Visit the Shrine of Kasuga Taisha, Learn about the spirit living there and discover Shinto, the oldest concept of spirituality in the world.
Walk on the wooden bridge and stop to take one last picture for amazing memories.

We really enjoyed discovering Nara with our guide Remi. Everything was perfect!! Our daughters loved this tour, the best way to discover Nara.
We had Matteus as our guide, and he was so nice and knowledgeable! We had children who loved animals, so he made every effort to tailor our trip so that we saw the Nara deer everywhere we went. He spent extra time with us to make sure we saw everything we needed to see. He even walked us to the bus stop after the tour so we did not get lost. We highly recommend Matteus and his company for a bike tour! We had so much fun!
Exceptional day. Great way to visit Nara. Very well thought out and organized tour. Christophe is a very patient and pleasant guide who we enjoyed very much. The meal is included in the service but next time we will choose our restaurant.

Fun outdoor activity to do to explore a bigger region quickly than on foot. Christophe was very helpful, patient and friendly. He engaged with our 11 & 13 yr olds and shared many daily Japanese life/culture stories with us too. He went above and beyond and had many tips for what to eat around the area for lunch and sweets. Would definitely recommend!

The day started a little off the beaten track finding the bike shed. Our English speaking guide, Elodie (from France), fitted us out with great bikes accommodating our 195cm tall lads. We cycled on backstreets to the park. We were shown how to feed the deer, and saw the massive temple and Buddha, we cycled to the knife store, which had amazing knives at very reasonable prices for the quality. We cycled on to the shrine in the wood which was beautiful. The tour never felt rushed and Elodie was very considerate with a nervous cyclist in our group. Our trip ended with a great lunch at a conveyor sushi restaurant close to the start of the tour. It was a wonderful day that exceeded our expectations in every way. 100% recommended.

What a great way to see Nara! We explored much of Nara by bike as the route takes you to more remote parts that you normally don't visit by foot. Robert was a great tour guide and shared history & culture in addition to the bike tour.

One of a kind experience to enjoy Nara! Our guide Elodie is knowledgeable about Nara as well as Japanese culture. She is also very patient with our kids. Bikes and helmets are good. They also prepare water, admission ticket for temples and crackers do the deers. It’s hassle free! Biking lets us savor the beautiful area way more as you will go through the little paths in the surround neighborhood before entering the tourist areas. The choice of lunch is unique and authentic as well!
Robert was a great tour guide ! He took us (family of 5) on good quality + comfortable TREK mountain bikes around Nara and we visited key landmarks. His explanations were clear and interesting. We were all very pleased with the tour.

We did the family tour to the Nara Park with e-bikes and the experience was fantastic. It was warm weather and e-bikes are the best way to visit the park while not suffering too much from the heat. The guide was fantastic, and the whole experience was great for all the family. 100% recommended regardless of the age of your kids (they have small e-bikes if needed and kids seats if they can't ride an e-bike).
