Our main purpose is to educate Kenyan school children and youth on their country’s wildlife and environment, as well as give local and international visitors an opportunity to come into close contact with the world’s tallest species, the giraffe. PLEASE NOTE: The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is world-renowned for its work rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned baby elephants. The Nursery, located in Nairobi National Park, is where an orphan's journey begins. Although the Nursery is open to the public every day from 11am to 12 noon, the number of visitors is limited to a maximum of 200.
