Murano, Burano and Venice Boat Tour from Venice Train Station

Description
This full-day boat tour is perfect for those who reach Venice by car or by train: the embarkation point is very close to Venice train station. During the navigation, an expert tour guide will share with you anecdotes of Murano and Burano islands, while you'll enjoy a breathtaking view of Venice lagoon from the panoramic deck. The boat leaves from the train station area to reach St Mark’s bay, where it welcomes other guests and then leaves for Murano. In Murano, first stop of the tour, you have the chance to visit a glass factory and see master glassmakers at work. Burano, second stop, can be called ‘ the rainbow island’ thanks to its inhabitants’ unique houses. Here you have some free time to stroll among colourful streets and taste typical dishes and biscuits. Then, the boat takes you to Venice Riva degli Schiavoni, not far from St Mark’s Square. Here you will have 50 minutes at your disposal to visit St Mark’s Square, then a shuttle boat will take you back to Venice Train Station.

We had very little time on the islands, on Murano we only had 30min in the end, and with that we didn't see much. At Burano we would normally have 2h, we only had 50min, if you want to see something you have to be very quick, because you also have to get back to the boat on time, we would normally be dropped back at the train station where we were also picked up, that was not so. We had to step back ourselves (40min, at the hottest time of the day). The islands themselves were very beautiful, and the guide also told fun facts while sailing. Our guide did not come on the boat back to Venice, so we could not ask if there was another way to get back to the station.
Dear guest, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the beauty of Murano and Burano and appreciated the interesting facts shared by our guide during the boat ride. However, we sincerely apologize for the shortened free time on the islands and the inconvenience caused by the change in the final drop-off point. Tour schedules and navigation times can occasionally be impacted by external factors beyond our control, such as heavy lagoon traffic, lock passage delays, or strict dock availability, which can unfortunately reduce the time available on land. Regarding the drop-off location, boat stops are heavily regulated by local maritime authorities and current tide conditions. While adjustments are sometimes necessary for safety and compliance, our team should always clearly communicate these changes to passengers before arriving. We also regret that the guide was not available on the return journey to assist you with alternative directions to the station. We truly appreciate your detailed input, as it helps us identify areas where we can improve our logistics and communication. We hope the memories of the islands themselves remain a highlight of your visit to Venice. Best regards, The Venetoinside Customer Care Team
This was a terrible experience and we never got to tour. We booked the tour, showed up 30 minutes early, waited and other people booked for the same tour also showed up waiting. The boats came and when we approached them they sent us to another boat, then that boat sent us back to wait for the first boat, this happed for three boats and after 45 minutes of going from one boat to another we called Viator paying $5.99 per minute for an overseas call. I was told we would be refunded and now there is no refund. We ended up not getting the tour and we were not the only ones waiting. We even checked with the locals and a police officer that was nearby if we were in the right location and they confirmed.
Very nice stops on the islands including glass blown demonstration in Murano. All the boat staff are very attentive! Thank you so much!
Guided tour was acceptanle. We were not informed of a time change to 10:15. Our tour guide spoke in five languages which was fine but couldn’t hear or understand her most of the time. When we disembarked to get on a different ferry at San Marco she was the first on with most people on the first ferry wondering where we should go. Also very poor explanation as to what we would be doing until we got to each stop.
