I was fortunate to visit Pilatus when it was not at all crowded. I essentially walked onto both lifts with no wait. The scenery was absolute stunning.
We were lucky to have a fantastic sunny day and with a pleasant temperature, the view is superb.
Worth the visit . The entire journey is worth it . The gondolas are smooth and clean. The dragon ride is AMAZING. The entire journey from ground to summit is WHEELCHAIR accessible !! It’s amazing . The summit is very well run and kept. It feels like an airport lounge at the top. The food was not too pricey and all very reasonable (considering it’s Switzerland !). Amazing views , great hot chocolate and great staff
If in Zurich this is worth a day trip for the amazing views and cable car ride! Also a look around lovely Luzern! If you buy the train ticket and cable car at the sbb ticket office at Zurich hb you get a 12 franc discount for this. Although it's an expensive day out it's worth it!
We had come all the way from Bern with our guide for Mt. Pilatus tour. From Lucerne we took a ferry ferry ride. Then we took Cogwheel Train to reach Mt. Pilatus. On return our guide brought us down to Kriens by gondola. This 20 minutes journey was simply awesome. The view of mountains , meadows and valley was breath taking. Due to autumn season the trees with red, yellow and orange leaves looked superb. The narrow hiking route was very beautiful. One has to see it to believe it. Don't miss this at any cost...
We bought tickets for the cable car and the gondola, and the journey was truly magical. I highly recommend it. It was a very meaningful experience for. someone like me who finds walking, and certainly climbing, difficult. We stopped on the way before taking the gondola up, and then again at the summit, where we stayed for about an hour. My family hiked along the trails there, and I walked with them to the caves on the side of the mountain, along an accessible path with no climbing, suitable even for people with walking difficulties like mine. The view is amazing. An excellent experience
The experience is unique, out-of-series landscapes and amazing nature. It is very worth going by cable car, no need to reserve, you can buy on site.
Fantastic experience! We had booked the cable car to the top (65 euros pp). Visibility was very good and lots of facilities on every level (3 including the top). It can be cold at the top, so keep this in mind. There is also a webcam available on the website to preview the view to avoid disappointment. Highly recommended!
It was truly an amazing experience. Incredible views and prospects, sun and snow. The journey with the cable car. Fit in and went summer tobogganing too. The only downside was incredibly long queues and a very unpedagogically laid out website. The gear track was closed. If you go from central Luzern, take tram 1 to Kriens. The stop Pilatus zentrum. Sixth, just follow the arrows for 3 minutes
