Splendid 3 days tour

We were happy to discover Istanbul accompanied by Dilek for 3 days. She proposed a very interesting program with a mix of palaces, mosques, markets and beautiful places with historical and religious references. We were immersed in the culture, we took boats, trams and we tasted delicious Turkish cuisine in selected restaurants. We highly recommend our guide Dilek for her kindness and expertise.

Highly recommended

The experience with Dilek was exceptional, very friendly and helpful. Not only did he give us a very complete tour, informing us of everything related to the city, its history and customs, he also guided us in shopping and even helped us in everything we need, from before our arrival advising us and resolving our doubts by WhatsApp, once there he also helped us with some problems we had with the phone. It was more than a simple guide as it made our stay easier and all with a smile and unbeatable treatment. Fully recommended.

A Wonderful Istanbul Experience with Dilek

I had the great pleasure of exploring Istanbul with Dilek as my guide, and she was absolutely wonderful. From the start, she listened carefully to what I was most interested in and shaped the tour completely around my wishes and preferences. In just a few hours, I was able to see and experience so much, yet the tour never felt rushed. The way she brought each sight to life with stories, context, and small details made history truly come alive. With Dilek, I was able to get a real feel for both the European and Asian sides of Istanbul — not just in terms of geography, but also in terms of culture and everyday life. I can highly recommend Dilek to anyone wanting a thoughtful, engaging, and deeply personalized introduction to the city. I’m already looking forward to booking “tour number two” with her whenever I return to Istanbul.

Best Istanbul Tour ever - From someone who has been there before.

What a fantastic tour! I highly recommend Dilek. Dilek met our group of 3 couples at our ship and gave us the best tour of Istanbul ever. I have been to Istanbul before and saw more on this visit than I ever have before.

Tour Istanbul very good.

Our tour with Dilek was amazing. She showed us the most famous spots of old Istanbul, telling a little about the history and explaining more about the religion and customs of the region. We passed the new Istanbul too and it was amazing, they look different cities. Dilek is a dear and would not indicate a better Cover for a tour of Istanbul!!!

Wonderful Old City walking tour guide

We spent a wonderful day with Dilek, walking through the Old City and hitting all the common tourist sites. We appreciated her deep knowledge of the history and culture and our ability to navigate through heavily visited tourist areas. We never felt rushed and were able to visit all the “greatest hits” in a day, including the Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, and the Grand Bazaar. It was helpful to have her as private guide, as she was able to meet us at our hotel, and we were able to discuss what we wanted to visit in advance via WhatsApp. We highly recommend her.

Fantastic food tasting on the Asian side with Dilek!

We had a fantastic time with Dilek doing a food tour with her. She took us to the Asian side of Istanbul and we tried so many different dishes that I cant even count them. She was super friendly, knowledgeable and attentive and she adjusted to our slower pace (we had my 87 year old grandma with us that enjoyed it very much as well.) Would 100% recommend Dilek as your guide in Istanbul!

Like Meeting Up with an Old Friend

Where do I even begin? I only had a several hour layover in Istanbul - enough time to leave the airport and see some of the city, but not enough time to fully engross myself its richness. I got very lucky and found Dilek through With Locals, an app that has private tour guides in various cities. I reached out to her and explained my situation, and she said that she would be happy to set up a tour with me. I asked her to coordinate a car and driver and I was so glad I did! She set up everything, and her communication before the trip was amazing. I really felt like I got to know her, and was so excited to actually meet in person! Well, the 4.5 hours we spent touring the city was more than I could imagined. We were able to get into the Hagia Sophia first, and Dilek's knowledge and enthusiasm for the history and architecture of that most amazing building was so contagious. We went across the street to the cisterns, and she pointed out things that I would not have really noticed. After that, we hopped back in the car to the spice market, where it was closing, but Dilek was able to get me in the door to snap a few photos. We stopped by an open spice shop and it was wonderful! We wandered the streets, talking about Istanbul's history and Dilek even explained to me what Turkey was doing to retrofit, rebuild, and support their buildings (and by extension their citizens) due to the risk of earthquakes. We walked along Galata Port. I saw more in 4.5 hours than I ever could have imagined, and I cannot wait to be able to go back and spend more time in Instabul and more time with Dilek. It was like I was wandering around the city with a friend. She is absolutely wonderful and I am so very thankful that she answered my message!
