Description
Enjoy some of Rio de Janeiro's most spectacular sights from the water, in the soft light of the morning. Sailing in the morning also means stronger, steadier winds on Guanabara Bay, giving this tour some of the longest true-sailing stretches of any DDRio experience. Onboard, guests enjoy a complete brunch service already included in the price - sparkling wine, caipirinha, caipivodka, beer, soft drinks, coffee, juice and water, paired with charcuterie skewers, cheese, olives, toasts, peanuts and a seasonal fruit plate. Our crew doesn't just sail safely and comfortably - they also share the stories behind the forts, beaches and hills that shape the scenery, all in sheltered waters that keep the ride comfortable from start to finish.

Itinerary
The tour starts at 10:00h at the pier at MARINA DA GLORIA. We sail along Flamengo and Botafogo, stopping close to Sugarloaf Mountain in Urca for photos. We then pass the Fortress of Sao Jose, Fortress Lage and Santa Cruz, crossing into Niteroi to Adao e Eva Beach for a 20-minute swimming stop. We continue towards Boa Viagem Island, passing the Niteroi Museum of Contemporary Art, and sail back to Marina da Gloria with Sugarloaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer on the horizon. The tour ends at 13:00h.

Swimming stop of about 20 minutes at this beach between Rio and Niteroi, a highlight of the morning sail.
We sail towards Boa Viagem Island, passing close to the Niteroi Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC), before heading back to Marina da Gloria.

It was a fabulous experience and mainly because of Clarisse our hostess and guide. She was an excellent conversationalist and the most attentive host. Clarisse and Joshua took super care of us and gave us an amazing experience on board their sail boat. It was lovely to be able to explore the Bay under sail as well as the usual motoring. We were blessed with calm, sunny weather and just enough of a breeze to utilise the sail. Clarisse treated us with lovely snacks, drinks and information on what we were seeing. Blankets were provided when our boy got a little chilly. We had a swim off the Adam and Eve beaches and returned to the harbour very very happy with our wonderful morning's sail. We would highly recommend this tour and please remember to tip if you have an amazing experience as we had had.

A perfect way to spend a Monday morning! The weather was great, and we were surprised to have the boat all to ourselves! Clarisse was wonderful - so sweet, and she took such good care of us. Capt. Apollo was fantastic, too - told us lots of cool facts about the area, and helped us to get comfortable for pictures.
