The snorkel to Molokini crater was lovely. The staff was helpful and informative. We were expecting the crater to be crowded but it really wasn’t very crowded at all. I would highly recommend this tour.
I highly recommend Pacific Whale for any of their excursions. They are top notch. We’ve been to Maui twice and were highly impressed with them the first time, that there was no question we would be using them again this time when we took the kids. The snorkeling at Molokini and another turtle spot on the West Side was at the top of my list. The Naturalist were knowledge and made for an education experience and Capt T made it exciting and lively. It’s a must do on your trip to Maui and I wouldn’t trust anyone more than PacWhale for it.
Great experience - kids loved it. Snorkeling was awesome and boat staff was excellent. Food service was delicious and easy to Navigate. Would definitely do it again!
Great time out on the water. The molokini area had a nice variety of fish and the water was crystal clear. A little crowded in the water given the size of the boat, but people spread out eventually. Turtle Town was really good too, we saw a nice big turtle lounging in the cleaning station. Food at lunch was surprisingly good and unlike a lot of tours they left time to actually eat without losing time in the water.
10/10 — Highly recommend! PacWhale Evo-Adventure was one of the highlights of our Maui trip! The crew was warm, welcoming, incredibly knowledgeable, and amazing with kids. Our 4-year-old was initially scared to snorkel, but the staff patiently helped him overcome his fear — by the end, he was happily snorkeling! The reef tour was fantastic, with the crew identifying marine life and sharing fascinating insights. The catamaran was comfortable and smooth, with plenty of snorkeling equipment and decent food/drink options. A professional photographer was also onboard and captured amazing family and snorkeling photos for an additional fee — absolutely worth it!
Another wonderful snorkeling trip with the Pacific Whale Foundation. The captain and crew made sure the we were safe and comfortable. The marine biologist onboard taught us a lot about the coral reefs and the ecosystem. I love that everytime we take a trip with the Pacific Whale Foundation we help to support saving the whales and marine research.
The food they offered was very poor quality. We woke up at 5am to get there by 6:15am (45 mins before departure. We did not have time to eat breakfast. We were told they would provide breakfast and lunch. The provided limited old croissants and banana cake for breakfast, and some juice. Lunch was worth, burned hotdogs and chicken breast (burned and extremely dry). It was so nasty. My kids were hungry and still did not eat. I would have brought my own food had I know about the in advance. The snorkeling and crew were just ok, nothing extraordinary. I would book this tour!
We thank you for providing your feedback about your experience. I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed in the food. Although we only listed croissant, banana bread and Maui Gold pineapple as our continental breakfast offering, I am sorry to hear that the lunch food was overcooked. Please feel free to reach out to me directly at johngaskins@pacwhale.com to discuss a partial refund.
The activity was canceled due to the weather. Tripadvisor charged $ for the activity even though it did not take place.
If you could reach out to me about the cancellation of your trip due to the tropical storm, I am happy to reach out to Trip Advisor/Viator to ensure they process your refund. I just need wither your last name and your Viator booking reference number or the date of your schedule trip. You can reach me directly at johngaskins@pacwhale.com.
The weather can change so be flexible, the captain and crew were great about trying to make sure we all had a great experience
