A classic Modenese pasta dish awaits at a historic restaurant, complemented by a distinctive local wine, before finishing with artisanal gelato from a favorite neighborhood shop and a delicious Secret Dish, revealed exclusively to our guests.

We begin our delicious food tour at a fascinating local meeting point, where you’ll learn the story of one of Italy’s most iconic operatic tenors, Luciano Pavarotti.
Next, we explore one of Modena’s most famous treasures: Aceto Balsamico di Modena. We’ll enjoy a tasting inside a family-owned Bottega, discovering the craftsmanship behind this world-renowned product.
We then head to the lively Mercato Albinelli, Modena’s historic covered market founded in 1931. With around 65 stalls offering fresh local products, it’s the perfect place to discover Modena’s beloved cheese and its traditional round flatbread — and learn how locals enjoy them.

Our walk continues into the ancient Piazza Grande, Modena’s historic main square and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Surrounded by the Cathedral and the Ghirlandina Tower, this medieval square is full of atmosphere and local life. Here, we’ll stop at a unique traditional trattoria to taste a classic Modenese pasta dish.
We finish the tour on a sweet note with an artisanal gelato at the local GIOELIA Cremeria.

We absolutely loved our tour. Roberta was delightful, and so much fun! The walking tour took us to several different shops and restaurants including the main market. The food was exceptional, and we learned some of the history and manufacturing processes. Very interesting. Come hungry and with comfortable walking shoes. We highly recommend this tour, you will love it!

Roberta is the best guide. He guided me passionately with a lovely smile and knowledge. I enjoyed the tour with my 13-year-old daughter, with one from Brazil. It was a very hot day, but we had a portico so we could walk around. We enjoyed two kinds of pasta and three kinds of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese. Enjoy Modena, a 30-minute train ride from Bologna.

I highly recommend this food tour! The tour was absolutely worth of money. Our guide Steffy is wonderful! She knows what she is doing. The atmosphere is warm and pleasant with her. You'll get to taste many different things, flavours and hidden gems. Don't eat before this!!! You won't Be hungry after.

My partner Jane and I really enjoyed the Secret Food Tour in Modena! We essentially enjoyed a seven-course meal over four hours at six locations, so with six short courses in terms of movement.
