Itinerary
Begin your experience with a walk through the Lambrusco and Trebbiano vineyards in the scenic countryside of Modena (weather permitting). Surrounded by rows of red and white grapevines, you’ll step into the world where one of Italy’s most iconic products is born: Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. Inside the historic, family-run acetaia, discover the centuries-old art of balsamic vinegar production. Learn about its origins and the process that transforms cooked grape must into the famous “Black Gold” through long aging in wooden barrels. Visit the atmospheric barrel rooms and follow every step of this transformation. The experience concludes with a guided tasting of different balsamic vinegars at various aging stages. Taste each vinegar first on its own, then paired with carefully selected aged Parmigiano Reggiano and artisanal ice cream, chosen to enhance the aromas, balance, and intensity of each product.

Super tasting. We had a great tour with 3 children (6-11 years old). The tasting afterwards is super. Our children love aceto, so we also had a lot of fun. Everything was very harmonious. Absolutely recommended. Many thanks to the guide, he was great. We will be back.
We had a really enjoyable tour and learned a lot about traditional Aceto Balsamico. The guide shared plenty of interesting information about the production process, the different aging methods, and what makes each balsamic vinegar unique. The only minor downside was that the English explanation was sometimes a little difficult to understand. The tasting was definitely a highlight! We sampled balsamic vinegar with ice cream, Parmigiano Reggiano, and cake, and there was a generous amount to try. The guide also explained the differences between the various ages of the balsamic vinegar and gave us great ideas on how to pair it with different foods. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and passionate about her work, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, this tour was absolutely worth the money, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
This is a lovely tour full of information. The tastings are amazing! Quiet, non-touristy area You’ll absolutely come away with balsamic vinegar!
Lots of information! Great tasting of so many vinegars!
We had a Balsamic vinegar tour with Parmigianino and Gelato tasting and it was great experience! We liked very much how this family keeps it's history and traditions and produses wonderful products. We didn't know that Balsamic vinegar we can use with Parmigianino and Gelato. And it was fantastic! Thanks a lot for these emotions!
The location is outside of Modena Centro A car is needed. Tour was just the 2 of us. Tour guide was wonderful. Very passionate of the process.
Excellent tour very informative and interesting So much to hear about Would really recommend for all ages
An excellent tour, which we really enjoyed. The tour guide was obviously proud of the high quality of the product and did a great job of showcasing it. Interesting and well worth the time spent. Tasting the vinegar on the gelato was a highlight.
Despite the location being a way out of town and we had to use trains, bus and feet - it was worth it! Fascinating to see home Balsamic Vinegar is produced and to sample a wide variety flavours - on ice cream is a favourite now !
A very great experience, and we were pleasantly surprised that we received a private and very exclusive tour and tasting. I can only recommend this small factory, and our guide was super nice and explained everything to us. Shopping afterward was not quite so easy given the selection 😉.
