The biggest concentration of wild Asian elephants in the entire world may be found in Sri Lanka’s Minneriya National Park, which is home to a wide variety of species. Nearly 31,000 hectares make up Minneriya National Park. Nearly 170 bird species and other animals are also found in the area. Jeep safaris are a popular way for visitors to go through the park, increasing their chances of seeing park animals in their natural habitat at twilight. What is the special about Minneriya National Park? Minneriya National Park | The Ancient Cities, Sri Lanka ... Dominated by the ancient Minneriya Wewa, the park has plenty of scrub, forest and wetlands in its 88.9 sq km to also provide shelter for toque macaques, sambar deer, buffalo, crocodiles and leopards (the latter are very rarely seen, however). There are rarer animals for groups to spot in the park, such as the Sri Lankan leopard and Sri Lankan sloth bear, however both are elusive and more difficult to see. Conditions in the park provide a well-suited habitat for up to 160 bird species, including water birds such as pelicans, storks and herons.

So worth it
An amazing experience, we went early to avoid the crowds and were rewarded with amazing views of birds, crocodiles, jackals and of course many elephants. Fabulous and would totally recommend!

Unbelievable experience. Best guide. So many elephants.
Unbelievable experience. Sanju was an awesome guide and he seemed to know exactly where the elephants were before any of the other tour groups. Literally had massive elephants walking right next to the car. Felt completely safe the whole time. Spotted an eagle and a bunch of other awesome wildlife too. Thank you for the awesome time!

Exciting adventure
The many good reviews were the deciding factor for our booking. We were not disappointed - it was wonderful. We booked the midday/afternoon tour. We saw a lot of elephants. There were also a few birds and buffalo to see. Our driver was very great and stopped where we could best observe the animals. The communication was uncomplicated. We were picked up on time at our hotel and dropped off there again. All in all, a successful excursion.

Amazing
A fantastic experience being so close to such a large number of elephants and their babies. Our guide was fantastic and spotted many elephants in the bushes as well as other wildlife.

Best Experience Ever
Visited from the US. Was kind of hesitant about booking with this company because the price is very reasonable. But my experience was absolutely amazing. Better to go on a cooler day. Saw over 200+ elephants. This was the best experience of the trip.
