The largest church in Italy. It took almost six centuries to complete, but it was worth every moment. The Duomo of Milan tells a story of faith and art spanning over six centuries. Construction work on the Duomo of Milan probably began in 1386, when the style of Gothic cathedrals had reached its peak, and it was only in the second half of the 20th century that the Fabbrica undertook the complete, structural and conservative restoration of the building. Located in the heart of Milan. It is 515 ft (157 metres) long and 302 ft (92 m) wide. It can house up to 40.000 people.

La Scala, or Teatro alla Scala in Italian, is one of the most famous opera houses in the world. Its sober and elegant exterior never fails to surprise those that visit it for the first time. Many famous operas have had their first production in La Scala, such as Othello, Nabucco by Verdi, and Madame Butterfly by Giacomo Puccini. Take a look from the outside and go on with the rest of the tour!

Pass by

Between the Theatre and the Galleria Vittorio Manuel II is the Piazza della Scala, a lively square with a large statue of Leonardo da Vinci in the centre. Here you can rest on the benches surrounded by pretty greenery.

30 min

The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, which is sometimes nicknamed “il salotto di Milano” (Milan’s drawing room), is an elegant nineteenth-century shopping arcade. It houses some of the most luxurious boutiques in Milan. this magnificent shopping arcade is one of the most interesting sights in the city.

Milano too has its own fairy tale, or rather it has its own fairy-tale castle, Castello Sforzesco, one of the largest in Europe. Throughout history, this imposing complex has played many roles: defensive fortress, ducal residence and military barracks. Nowadays, its magnificent interior hosts Milano’s Municipal museums and other cultural institutions, but the castle grounds are fascinating in themselves, with large courtyards, massive walls, moat, towers (entrance is free excluding the museums), crenulated battlements and the green expanse of Parco Sempione. The castle’s origins date back to 1358 - 1368 when the first nucleus was known as the Castello di Porta Giovia and was used as a residence but mainly as a military defensive complex by Galeazzo II Visconti, Duke of Milano. Over the centuries, the Castello expanded until it became one of the main military citadels in seventeenth-century Europe. Take a look from the outside and go on with the rest of the tour!

Admission included15 min

Santa Maria delle Grazie is a historic church in Milan, Italy, renowned for housing one of the world's most famous artworks, Leonardo da Vinci's "The Last Supper." Constructed in the late 15th century, this UNESCO World Heritage Site showcases stunning Renaissance architecture, including a striking Gothic facade. Inside, visitors can marvel at the exquisite beauty of "The Last Supper," a masterpiece depicting the moment of Jesus Christ's final meal with his disciples. The church's significance as a cultural and religious landmark attracts countless visitors seeking to admire both its architectural splendor and the profound artistic legacy it houses.

Admission included30 min

Leonardo's Last Supper (Cenacolo in Italian) is one of the most famous paintings in the world. This artwork was painted between 1494 and 1498 under the government of Ludovico il Moro and represents the last "dinner" between Jesus and his disciples. Is located in its original place, on the wall of the dining room of the former Dominican convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie. We take care of booking Last Supper tickets. Ask us as soon as possible!

Great expereince in spite of scheduling snafu

Paola was a terrific guide. She was filled with interesting information, anecdotes and humor, and tailored our tour to our interests and physical stamina, given the hot weather. She even gave us restaurant and museum recommendations for the next day. She made our time in Milan special. The tour was supposed to include entrance to The Last Supper, and the ad created the impression that this would be at the end of the tour, which was obviously ideal. But 72 hours before the tour, the the tour operator informed us that our Last Supper viewing would be 6 hours before the tour, at a time we weren't even going to be in Milan. So we missed out on that.

Operator response

Thank you for your feedback and for the 5-star review. We’re very happy to know that, despite the scheduling issue, Paola made your time in Milan such a special experience. We’re sorry the timing for The Last Supper created inconvenience and did not match what you expected from the listing. Access is extremely limited and strictly timed, but we understand the frustration and will review how this is communicated so future guests have clearer expectations before booking. Overpriced not worth 800 euros for 2 people for 2.5 hours

Tour extremely misleading—for the scala and sforza castle all we saw was the exterior as we walked by it—expected far more for. 800euros. Very misleading. We did spend 15 minutes in the last supper and some time in the duomo. We did not see much of Milan and was very very disappointed. Dont do this tour. You could go yourself, see more and spend far less. Viator should be ashamed charging 800 euros. -this may be my last experience with Viator—-they are ripping off customers

Operator response

We are sorry to read that you were disappointed with the experience, although we must respectfully clarify several points for future guests. On the booking page where this reservation was made, all inclusions and exclusions are clearly stated. The internal visit of La Scala Theatre and Sforza Castle is clearly listed as not included in the dedicated exclusions section. In the itinerary section, both attractions are marked as “pass by,” and in the individual description of each stop it is also clearly stated that there is no internal visit to these attractions. Regarding The Last Supper, the 15-minute viewing time is not determined by CityEyes or by Viator. This is the official time allowed for all visitors by Santa Maria delle Grazie, and no tour operator or private guide can extend it. We also wish to clarify that the tour does include many of Milan’s main highlights. The price reflects a private guided experience, entrance tickets to the included sites, access to The Last Supper, which is extremely limited and difficult to secure, and the work of a full operations team managing guides, tickets, logistics, itineraries, and assistance before and during the experience. After more than 20 years of providing private tours, and after dozens of 5-star reviews for this specific experience, it is disappointing to read our service described as “ripping off customers,” especially when all details were available before confirmation and the tour was delivered according to the published itinerary. That said, we are sorry the tour did not meet your expectations. We will take your comments into consideration as we continue reviewing and improving the way our experiences are presented and communicated. The CityEyes Team

Outstanding Experience!

Outstanding tour guide, Gianluca! Gianluca gave us lots of history and information about the sights we visited. He was able to personalize it for us so that we could stop and learn more about what appealed to us! I would highly recommend this activity for those who want a personalized experience instead of a cookie cutter tour!

Operator response

Thank you for choosing CityEyes and for recommending Gianluca. We’re very happy the experience felt personal rather than “cookie cutter,” exactly as a private tour should. Grazie! Gianluca, and the CityEyes Team

Fantastic Experience!

The Duomo and The Last Supper tour was the highlight of our trip to Milan. Our tour guide Augusta was exceptionally knowledgeable and provided us historical insights we would have not otherwise gotten if we toured the sights on our own. The tour was roughly 3 hours which was enough time on the walking tour and sights to not feel rushed.

Operator response

A highlight of your trip to Milan is a compliment we truly value. Thank you for choosing CityEyes and for sharing such kind words about Augusta. Grazie! Augusta, and the CityEyes Team

Fantastic Visit to Milan

Our guide Laura was wonderful. She was friendly and very knowledgable. She met us at our hotel and took us around Milan and shared so much information that we are now semi-experts. This was a fantastic tour and I’d recommend the tour to everyone! I’d also recommend that you request Laura if you can.

Operator response

You becoming “semi-experts” is the kind of result we love to read about. Thank you for choosing CityEyes in Milan and for recommending Laura so warmly. Grazie! Laura, and the CityEyes Team
