Mexico City Private tour to Coyoacan & Xochimilco on 1975 VW Bus
Description
Meeting Point at the "La fuente de la Cibeles" at 9:00am. Hop aboard our classic 1975 VW Bus "La Combi" and embark on an unforgettable journey to two of the city's most famous sights: Coyoacan & Xochimilco! In Coyoacan: We will enjoy some churros & coffee , after walk thru the streets, walk around the main the neighborhood, the plaza and explore a typical Mexican Market "Mercado". For the 2nd stop, we will arrive at Xochimilco and hop on a colorful boat called a 'Trajinera.' We will cruise around the water canals while enjoying some food (tacos & quesadillas) and drinks on board. Depending on the group size; we might play loteria and enter a Axolotl farm. Finally, we'll return to "La Combi" and transfer you back to the starting point.

Coyoacan, a bohemian neighborhood, awaits with its cobbled streets, art galleries, colorful buildings, and artisan markets. We'll visit a renowned coffee shop, stroll through a traditional Mercado full of food, souvenirs, candies, fruits, vegetables, and Mexican handcrafts.
Next, we'll head to Xochimilco, the enchanting "floating gardens," where we'll hop on a traditional "Trajinera" boat. Drift along the ancient Aztec canals, savoring quesadillas, tacos, guacamole and refreshing drinks (water, beers, or soda). Expect some delightful surprises!

I was looking for a tour that would be good for my family with 2 kids aged 7 and 9. We wanted to go to Xochimilco, but didn't want to have deal with the "party scene". Yara took us to a more local spot away from the bigger crowds and we even got to go to a spot with real axolotl's which was a huge plus for my kids. Yara was very accommodating with my kids, and gave great info and insight into the history of the neighborhood of Coyoacan. We didn't book enough in advance to get tickets to the Frida house, but still went by and got some great info from Yara about her life and legacy here in Mexico. We also booked a day trip Teotihuacan through Yara's company and had the best day with Luis! Highly recommend if you come to Mexico City!
We had a wonderful day with Yhara. This was our first time in MXC and being VW lovers we were excited to book this for our family of 3. Yhara, was knowledgeable about all things MXC, so we not only had a lot of fun we also learned a lot. Yhara took us to a lot of interesting places and she was always kind and patient while we popped into random shops here and there that our son wanted to check out and even an impromptu taco stop (best tacos we had in MXC). The tour ran over our time and we never felt rushed. There were a lot of highlights but one was the axolotl sanctuary and the food along the tour was all very good. Thank you Yhara for a great day!!

We had a fabulous day with Yhara! We were a family of four traveling with our adult children. Yhara picked us up at our hotel in the fun VW bus and we were off the Coyoacan to enjoy the morning. She told us many stories and shared interesting information obout Mexico City. We appreciated her finding delicious treats for us to try all along the way. We spent the afternoon on a private boat in Xochimilco and again enjoyed traditional Mexican cuisine she arranged for us. It was a fantastic day and I would highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn about Mexico City and experience the vibrant local history, culture and cuisine!!

Our tour with Yhara was amazing! It was like having an easygoing friend along with us who just happened to know lots about Mexico. Yhara had just the right balance of fun facts, history and engaging conversation. She was warm with our kids, aged 10 and 13, so much so that they begged to go on another tour with her (next time we’d do another with her for sure)! The VW bus was a cool feature we didn’t even know we’d enjoy as much as we did. It was a lively and fun way to get around. We loved the mercado and stops in (esp for churros and chocolate)- and even though we didn’t go in the Frida Kahlo museum, we felt we got a lot of interesting info. And Xochimilco was fascinating, relaxing, memorable. We highly recommend this tour and Yhara in particular!

We took a number of tours organised by Yhara. We were so impressed with her knowledge and understanding of what we were looking for. The tour guides were fabulous and so knowledgeable.
