A paved walkway measuring 0.6 miles runs through the arboretum, showcasing a diverse array of timber, fruit, and ornamental trees from different tropical regions of the world, many of which are labeled with nameplates. Aside from swimming and snorkeling, you'll have the chance to spot Hawaiian Green sea turtles, known as honu, that frequent the area. Be sure to keep a respectful distance, as they are protected by federal and state law. The best time to view these amazing creatures is in the evening, when many honu stroll onto the shore to rest and take in the stunning Hawaiian sunset.
