What a mesmerising tour It was a dream come true Ausum breakfast that to served hot in such a chilly weather excellent
Jeff was a super knowledgeable tour guide. Everything was super tight. From the pickup time. To the timing of breakfast and the drop off. Very well run. And of course the experience is one I’ll never forget. Dress warmer than you think. It’s freezing on top of the mountain!
The tour was wonderful. They provided warm fleece hooded blankets which was really helpful with the cold weather at the top. The breakfast was delicious and the views were incredible. Everette gave us such great explanations and history along the way. You could do this cheaper and on your own but this was 100% worth not dealing with the hassle and having someone experienced take you. We were back in time to enjoy the rest of the day at the pool!
Super cool, amazing to see sun rise from such a height. The guides Brad and Justen were first class.
Early hour is worth getting a good spot. Don’t under dress. Gloves would have been great. This tour operator provided lines ponchos—so nice. Other operators did not. Brrrr. It was super windy.
Awesome time. The tour guides were great and informative. The beautiful sunrise is worth the early morning pickup. The breakfast was delicious.
The tour was magnificent! The guides were helpful and informative. The time spent was well worth the experience.
An incredible experience. Drivers were extremely good, commentary good, and nature won the day. Highly recommended.
We did the Haleakala Sunrise Tour with Valley Isle Excursions on August 3rd, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Our guides, Jeff and Brad, struck the perfect balance for a 2:15 am pickup — they let us doze on the drive up but gently eased us into the experience with well-timed, engaging commentary. By the time we reached the summit, we’d learned about the volcano’s geology, the history of Haleakala National Park, and the unique plants and animals that call this fragile ecosystem home. The sunrise itself was breathtaking, but Jeff and Brad’s knowledge and genuine enthusiasm made it even more memorable. On the way back down, they stopped at a fantastic vantage point for photos that we would have completely missed on our own. If you’re considering this tour, don’t hesitate — Jeff and Brad are exceptional guides, and Valley Isle Excursions delivers a truly special Maui experience.
Our tour guides did an amazing job, the fact that we got provided ponchos was perfect considering the wind. The only thing I would consider when the wind was that bad perhaps we could’ve stayed in the bus and waited for the colors to start to change but in fairness they were trying to make sure we got the best possible spots. Breakfast was also a very cool spot
