Paddle over the pristine reefs of Maui in a clear bottom kayak and snorkel with marine life on a guided tour. Family and Coast Guard Veteran owned and operated with a focus on safety and 5-star experiences. Enjoy the calm conditions of the early morning and take in the beautiful scenery of Makena. Tour runs 7am until 10am. Meet your guide at Turtle Town, Makena, and get ready for your adventure. Paddle over the healthy shallow reefs and snorkel at the best spots to see marine life. Swim with turtles, manta rays, eels, octopus, and various tropical fish. Our tours take place in a humpback whale sanctuary, so we see whales in the wintertime. Enjoy the beautiful views of Haleakala volcano, west Maui mountains, Molokini, and the surrounding islands. Paddle over 500-year-old lava fingers and visit Turtle Town. If you choose, there is an optional snorkel portion of the tour (included in the price). Get out of the kayaks to have a closer look at some incredible marine life.

We are Maui’s Clear Bottom Kayak and Snorkel company. Providing visitors to Maui with epic experiences since 2017. Family and Coast Guard Veteran owned and operated. Viewing Maui’s marine life and reefs through a clear bottom kayak is an unforgettable experience. Our tour is suitable for ages 3 and above. No kayaking or snorkeling experience is necessary. Our 3-hour tour runs from 7am until 10am daily as this is the best time of day for nice, calm conditions. It includes meet up, safety briefing, launching, kayaking and snorkeling. Once on the water, you will paddle over several reefs inside of your clear bottom kayak, gazing at the beauty below and the beautiful Maui scenery around you. There is also an optional snorkel portion included in the tour. You may wish to get out of the kayaks to snorkel or, if not, you can stay in your clear kayak and gaze at our beautiful reefs below. We love all things ocean and adventure and can’t wait to share it with you on our beautiful Maui home.

- Individual weight limit is strictly 220 lbs due to the nature of our clear kayaks. If someone in your group weighs over 220 lbs then please contact us and we can reserve a single regular kayak with a weight limit of 290 lbs for them. We have two of these available. The weight limit is for your own safety. It is company policy for our tour guides to weigh each individual using scales at the meeting location on the day of the tour. If you report your weight incorrectly and then weigh over the limit on the day then we will not be able to accommodate you and you will receive no refund. Please contact us if you have questions about weight distribution before booking.
- Weight limit for tandem kayak is 420 lbs *Individual weight limit of 220 lbs still applies. You will automatically be assigned a tandem kayak for a booking of 2 adults. We are a small company and only have a limited number of clear kayaks for each tour.

My family had a great time on this clear kayaking/snorkeling trip! The guides, Marc and Curtis, really added to the experience as they were really great to talk to and they gave us interesting information about the area while we were kayaking. Marc was constantly working to get pictures of everyone in the group and dove down to get a red sea urchin so we could hold it. He also got pictures of us with sea turtles. Just a really fun experience and would highly recommend!
This was the highlight of our vacation. We felt cared for. The guides were kind and friendly, and the pictures were awesome.
Marc, Curtis, and Kyle were amazing. It was the perfect day to be on the water and got lots of great pictures. They were great at pointing out different sea creatures and telling us some history about the island as well.
Amazing trip, would recommend this for anyone including beginners. Kyle was a great guide!
Curtis and Mark were fantastic guides, made sure we all had proper equipment, checked in on us regularly, and shared stories and history of the area. I was concerned about getting out and back into the kayak to snorkel in the open water. Or guides made it easy and safe. It only required pushing the side of the boat down to my armpits and rolling in. We saw lots of turtles, fish, urchins, and coral. The paddle was easy and the price was well worth the experience!
My family and I did the kayak and snorkeling tour and we loved it! Kyle and Marc were great. The meeting location was a little sketchy because it’s a small road where everyone meets so it can get a bit congested but Marc and Kyle were great in getting us taken care of and getting our gear. Let me tell you, I saw first hand what was a good tour vs a bad one. Marc and Kyle went over all the safety, how to paddle, snorkel and how to successfully get in and out of the kayak. It was organized and I felt very safe the entire time. They accompanied us the entire time. On the other hand, there was a family of four getting quick instructions on how to use a kayak and the guy literally pushed them out and sat in a chair smoking on his vape watching his phone. There was no watching or making sure they made it okay and they had small children. Marc and Kyle were funny, organized and cared about everyone’s safety. Unfortunately, there was a lot of people at the turtle spot so photography was hard with the turtles but not everything goes as planned and Kyle still managed to send us family pics and additional ones to save for our experience. We did get a snack and water but honestly I would suggest grabbing breakfast beforehand because it’s virtually impossible to carry snacks in the water. However, I am already planning on how we book again when we come back. Would recommend again and would like to say that the experience is what you make it. Nothing always goes as planned but having great guides that can give you recommendations and tell you the history of Hawaii all while showing you turtles is definitely a great time!

This tour was absolutely unreal! From the moment we showed up, everything was already set up and ready to go. Just make sure you fill out your forms beforehand! The meetup was completely seamless, and before we knew it, we were out on the water. We paired my 8-year-old niece and my 67-year-old mom together in a kayak, and it worked out perfectly. Kyle was AMAZING. He walked them through getting in and out of the kayak so thoroughly that there was quite literally no room for error. He made everyone feel comfortable and safe from the very beginning. When they started getting tired, Kyle was incredibly encouraging and reassuring, and he helped them get back to shore a little earlier than the rest of the group. He kept their spirits up while still making sure everyone was safe, comfortable, and having fun. I truly can’t thank him enough for how well he took care of all of us! And the wildlife!! We saw SO many turtles — mamas and babies — plus fish, eels, and so much more. It was incredible. This is truly the tour, guys! The length was perfect, the experience was unforgettable, and we are so thankful for the hospitality, the helping hands, and Kyle’s encouraging spirit throughout the entire adventure. Great experience! The clear bottom kayaks are the best. We did see turtles! I didn’t have snorkel experience but I was able to do it! Very informative tour by our awesome guide.
