Itinerary
We depart from the back car park of the Margaret River Visitor Centre at 100 Bussell Highway. This is our starting point before heading out for a day of adventure. You can leave your car in any of the surrounding car parks
We canoe the real Margaret River. How can you come to Margaret River region and miss the actual Margaret River! The canoe experience is perfect for those seeking a unique blend of relaxation and exploration. With small groups and exclusive access to hidden gems, you'll discover the region's beauty in a way few ever do. You won't get wet or dirty. We promise!
Coffee With a View - Bathroom break? Technically, yes. But also one of the best beachside cafés in WA. White Elephant Cafe at Gnarabup is where salty locals and sun-chasing travellers cross paths.
Experience the harmony of nature and culture at Yalgardup Falls. This hidden gem offers a peaceful setting to learn about the land's significance to the Wadandi people. Plus, taste local honey, connecting you to the flavours and stories of the area.
Step into the heart of Fraser Gallop Estate, one of Margaret River’s most acclaimed boutique wineries. This exclusive behind-the-scenes experience offers a rare glimpse into the meticulous craft of winemaking. Includes premium lunch and wine.
We have special government approved 4WD access to this remote location. Including a short walk on the iconic Cape Walking track.
We hike one of the most breathtaking sections of the Cape Track—where rugged cliffs meet rolling surf and wildlife still rules the land. Expect kangaroos, whales in season, and the kind of deep nature connection you don’t get from a lookout carpark.

Sean was a great guide. We had a very enjoyable day seeing parts of Margaret river a little off track.
We did the Guided Canoe and 4x4 tour with lunch & wine with Sean. Had a blast. The canoe was a real highlight. Even though the weather was looking cool & rainy, Sean kept us dry and comfortable all day. Highly recommended for Australians and overseas visitors alike.
Thanks so much, Tonia! I’m stoked the canoeing was such a highlight—and equally pleased we managed to dodge the worst of Margaret River’s winter weather and keep everyone warm and dry. Thanks for the terrific recommendation to Aussies and international travellers alike. Really appreciate it!
Sean is an amazingly passionate and knowledgable guide that went out of his way to make our experience fun and informative. I've been on a lot of tours and this was one of the best I've ever taken and it was really because Sean did such a great job. I would highly recommend this tour.
Thanks so much, Michael! That means a great deal—especially coming from someone who has experienced plenty of tours around the world. I absolutely love sharing this remarkable corner of Margaret River, so I’m thrilled the day ranked among your very best. Thanks again for the wonderful recommendation! Cheers, Sean
An absolutely wonderful way to experience the diversity of Margaret River. Sean is a knowledgeable and engaging guide who kept us entertained and safe. We experienced river and coastal landscapes, an exceptional winery and delicious food all white learning about local flora and fauna.
Thanks so much, Roslyn! You’ve perfectly captured what I hope the Discovery Tour delivers—a little taste of everything that makes Margaret River so special, from the river and rugged coastline to exceptional wine and local food. It was an absolute pleasure sharing the day with you. Cheers, Sean
Absolutely loved this tour! Sean was fantastic and made the entire day such a memorable experience. He shared so much excellent local knowledge and introduced us to incredible spots that others usually miss. We even had the chance to visit exclusive locations we never would have found on our own, which was amazing! We had a wonderful time, would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Margaret River, and would happily do it again!
Thanks again, Justin! I’m thrilled you loved the day so much—and “Best Trip Ever” is a review title I’ll happily take! Margaret River’s most memorable places are often hidden beyond the usual tourist trail, so it was a pleasure sharing a few of those special spots with you. You’d be very welcome back for another adventure anytime! Cheers, Sean
An awesome experience! Sean is so friendly and knowledgeable. Canoeing was the best part, but also the home and exclusive lunch! Every spot we went to, we were the only people there. Fantastic
Thanks so much for the fantastic review! I’m stoked you loved the canoeing 😊. Having every location entirely to ourselves is exactly how I love to share Margaret River: peaceful, personal and well away from the crowds. Thanks again!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an unforgettable day! Sean’s knowledge of the wine industry was exceptional. We came in knowing very little about the winemaking process, and his passion, experience, and ability to explain everything in such an interesting and easy-to-understand way made the tour incredibly enjoyable. To top it all off, we were treated to a perfect Margaret River day. Cruising peacefully along the river, surrounded by beautiful scenery, listening to the sounds of nature, and simply soaking up the tranquillity was the perfect complement to the wine experience. If you’re visiting Margaret River, this is an experience not to be missed. Thank you, Sean, for such a memorable day!
Thanks so much for this wonderful review! One of my favourite parts of the day is helping guests unravel the mysteries of winemaking without making it feel like a university lecture, so I’m stoked to hear you found it interesting and easy to understand. Thanks again for joining me and for such a generous recommendation!
Our Margaret River tour was absolutely incredible, and our guide, Sean, was just amazing! He has an immense amount of knowledge and was so generous in sharing it with us throughout the day. Canoeing on the Margaret River was easily one of the best things I’ve ever done, what better way to see the river than to actually be on it! It was such a fantastic experience, and Sean gave such good instructions that all we had to do was listen. We didn't fall in or even get wet at all, we just got to completely soak up the stunning surroundings on a cracking day. We also got to see the Wilyabrup Cliffs and learned so much about the local trees, the ancient soil, and the rich history of the land we were exploring. To top it off, we definitely saw some roos! This is a truly unique experience that I will remember for a very long time. Thank you, Sean, for sharing your world with us!
What an absolutely brilliant review—thank you! I’m thrilled the canoeing was such a highlight. Being on the river is a completely different experience from simply looking at it, and staying upright and completely dry is always an excellent result too 😊. It was a pleasure sharing the cliffs, forests, ancient landscapes and local stories with you—and I’m very glad the roos eventually made an appearance! Thank you for bringing such wonderful enthusiasm to the day and for letting me share my little corner of the world with you.
Sean was a phenomenal guide. Showed us all the hidden gems throughout Margaret River. Extremely knowledgeable and hospitable. Would 100% recommend :)
Thanks so much for the terrific review! It was an absolute pleasure showing you some of Margaret River’s hidden gems and sharing the stories behind them. I really appreciate the kind words and the 100% recommendation 😊. Thanks for joining me!
A fun day with a good mix of easy canoeing, walking, waterfalls and a tasty lunch with wines at a winery. A good look at Margaret River from a layed back country feel. Away from crowds but experiencing a tiny bit of the wilderness. Magic day with Sean our guide who has a great sense of humour. You will love this day trip.
Thanks so much Belinda! Really appreciate the lovely review. That is exactly the kind of day I hope to create — relaxed, fun, away from the crowds, and just enough wilderness to feel like you’ve seen a very special side of Margaret River. So pleased you enjoyed the canoeing, walking, waterfall, lunch and wines. And extra thanks for the sense of humour mention — always handy when I’m trying to distract people from my questionable driving commentary! Thanks again for joining me and sharing such kind words. Cheers, Sean
