- Even at the height of summer, it’s usually cooler on the water. We recommend having a jacket or sweater with you.

Out sail on the bay in Traverse City was wonderful , relaxing and entertaining . The Captain and crew were fantastic ! Already looking a head to go next year again .
This was a fun and relaxing experience. The crew was great to involve the kids (and interested adults) in raising the sails and steering the boat. The captain did a great job with some stories but he did let us just enjoy the ride and take in the scenery by not talking non stop. The crew was very friendly and answered all our questions. The ice cream was yummy and we all enjoyed it. We also enjoyed some of the local beverages for sale.
Fun and unique experience on the bay. Delicious ice cream. The only downside is it’s not exactly comfortable. Passengers ride sitting on fiberglass around the boat- no real seats. It was fine, but I wasn’t expecting it. The guides were great and watching them work the sails was interesting.
Thanks for the review, and we're sorry to hear you didn't find the bench seating comfortable enough. We do have stadium foam pads available upon request, so we hope you'll consider joining us again and giving that a try. All the better to appreciate the ice cream!
rather boring; staff is perfectly nice but there was little wind and it was actually very hot on the boat. There is no explanation of the area and what we might see and actually we just sailed in circles. It was fine for young kids but I would not recommend for adults.

Of course, we can't control the weather, but we do try to ensure there are cold drinks available for sale in addition to the ice cream treat, and that someone from the crew provides a brief history talk. A beautiful day to spend on the bay in Traverse City. Excellence all around & very fun staff/crew. They made sure everyone enjoyed themselves. Moomers ice cream is always a winner. Well done!!

A nice sail around the lake but it was a pretty hot day and we weren't sailing very fast so it was uncomfortable for most of the excursion. A few stories here and there, but otherwise there was no music and just silence in between.
Nice experience on a tall ship. It was a hot day and the breeze on the bay was refreshing. The crew was fantastic including the captain. We sat towards the back and heard many of his experiences. We had a 4 year old and two adults - all enjoyed it.

This was our second trip on the tall ship. It had been several years and it was totally worth doing again. Nice crew, beautiful ship, peaceful trip.
Nice relaxing sail! The captain was great and it had a very kind crew. They happily answered questions and made the trip enjoyable. Will be back.
