Makarska: Baggy Skywalk & Biokovo viewpoint Tour

A great experience. Superbly planned. Super nice guides who told us many interesting things about the Biocova Mountains. We booked with pickup and were picked up on time with another couple. Up at the meeting point, three more buggies joined us. So we were a small, manageable group, which also made the excursion more personal. During the snack and wine round up on the mountain, we were a sociable group. Thank you very much for the great experience!!

First of all, we would like to thank Oliver very much, with whom we were able to spend a truly wonderful and unforgettable evening. We were picked up on time at our accommodation and then set off together with the group in the buggies on the way up into the impressive Biokovo Mountains. The drive itself was an experience: Along the way, there were photo stops again and again at beautiful spots, and we were even lucky enough to encounter wild horses and buffalo. A first highlight was the Skywalk with its fantastic view. Oliver explained a lot to us about the landscape and the various islands that you can see from up there. Afterwards, we took a short hike to another viewpoint – and that one was actually even more impressive to us. The view was simply dreamlike. When we returned, a picnic was already waiting for us: homemade wine and schnapps as well as small sandwiches with Dalmatian ham and cheese. A really nice idea and exactly the perfect conclusion for this special place. The entire group was also extremely nice, and the atmosphere was relaxed and warm throughout the whole evening. We learned an incredible amount about Biokovo, its flora and fauna, were able to ask many questions, and simply had lovely and interesting conversations in the process. After the tour, we were finally dropped off safely and soundly right at our accommodation. For us, it was an all-around successful evening with great impressions, beautiful views, interesting information, and a very personal atmosphere. Thank you very much, Oliver, for this special experience – we would recommend the tour anytime!

So worth the price! The views were great, we rode alongside horses and donkeys (which we also petted). At first we were considering going on our own with our car, but opted out for the guided buggy tour insted - turned out it was a much better idea afterall! The plan was to go on the morning tour, but it was all booked out, so we went with the afternoon one instead and I must say, I'm so glad it turned out that way! The sunset was amazing, and the heat eased off compared to the beginning of the day. The proscuitto and the wine were great, just enough to have a little taste of homemade dalmatian delicacies. Our guides Ivan, Jure, Ivan and Oliver were full of fun facts and very attentive to our needs (water, food, drinks, toilet breaks). They also took a lot of photos of us, and Ivan also dropped us off at the doorstep of our hotel! (Even though the pick up spot was at a different location). 10/10 would recommend!!

Highly recommend! I went with my three kids 12-14. We were picked up where it was most convenient for us. The company offers many pick up options. The guy was friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a great starter experience to get a feel for Biokovo. We went at 5 PM and got to enjoy the most beautiful sunset over Adriatic. We saw wild horses and cows, it was magnificent! After a small hike, we got to enjoy some local hors d’oeuvres and some good wine, which was a nice treat. Highly recommend!

We loved the experience. We had incredible scenery. Our guide Youri was great, he gave us a lot of information.

Everything was explained perfectly, the children really enjoyed it. Ivan put in a lot of effort.

Just loved it! The guides are so friendly and guidance is so professionel and interesting. The even help you take the perfect pictures. Don't hesitate book the tour and get more then similiar tours with ATV or Tuktuk.

We did the sunset tour. After a couple of really warm days in Makarska it was really nice to get up in the mountains and a bit cooler climate. The guides were really nice and fun. We were a group of about 15 persons and shared some home made wine and bread on the top. It was a really nice moment. And did I mention that the view was amazing and the skywalk was a bit scary 🙂. On the way down we stopped to watch the sun set.

Was picked up at the hotel at the agreed time. Very nice and knowledgeable guide, lots of interesting info during the tour. Totally wild nice view, just fit long walk up to the top before picnic. Got greeted on the wild horses, sat a scorpion and attended one friary on skywalk, lovely trip! Remember to bring enough water, it will be hot.

If you are in Makarska, I would highly recommend this tour. Ivan was our driver, He spoke very good English and took us on an exhilarating trip up the mountain. He has a great sense of humour and clearly loves his job. We went up with 2 other buggies, of which there were several nationalities. Jure was our English speaking guide (also a driver) Such a lovely funny guy. We had a ‘picnic’ at the top of the mountain, with homemade food and wine/cherry liquor Such a great personal touch. After which, we headed for the Skywalk. (The homemade wine helps to give you the courage to walk on the glass walkway😂) We also encountered lots of wild horses. It was a great experience half day tour. We did ours late afternoon which was perfect. There is also a tour early morning I believe. Thank you Ivan and Jure, you guys are great. It was the best tour of our holiday.
