Itinerary
Our Lady of the Rocks, an island in front of Perast, is an artificial island created at the end of the 15th century where, at least according to tradition, the Moršić brothers built a Roman Catholic temple to the Virgin Mary on the rocks in the Bay of Risan on July 22, 2009.
We're passing by Tivat without stopping, but we'll get to see the beautiful views of the luxurious Porto Montenegro.
Second stop is in the submarine tunnels, mysterious tunnels that were used to hide submarines during the Second World War. The story you will hear from the skipper will be remembered for the rest of your life.
Next stop is at Mamula Island, which was a prison during World War II. The story you will hear from the skipper will be remembered for the rest of your life.
Fourth stop is Blue cave, we will do swimming, diving (we give you equipment), cliff jumping, in the incredible blue crystal clear water. An unforgettable experience that you will remember for a lifetime!

We had a clear meeting point for starting the tour however our tour company LUX were late and it felt like we were then bundled in any free speedboat available. The boat driver was also our guide and while he gave us some information it was very limited. Most of the trip seemed more about the speed boat ride alone.... Which was fun but the stops we were expecting fell short
The route itself was great, but the service was terrible. Both captains spent most of the trip on their phones, playing music from them and constantly skipping songs. They didn’t even have an ad-free subscription, so the music was repeatedly interrupted by ads, and we could hear their chats through the speakers as well. Also, bring your own snorkeling gear — they only provided a very cheap pair of goggles with no snorkel. I’d recommend booking the same route with another company for the same price.
A little disappointed I was not expecting that.... Speedboat, impossible to take a photo outside of the stops... with a 4-year-old child it is really borderline in terms of safety. We left the port late, the driver wanted to make up for lost time, it felt more like a race with the other boats rather than a ride, a real shame.
I really hate writing bad reviews, I always chalk it up to maybe they were having a bad day and try to show some grace, but this was an absolute horrible experience. My friend and I arrived on time at the meeting point. There were about 15 different booths all doing the same tours, so we started to try and look for the one we booked with since there were no further instructions listed. We went up to a worker and showed our ticket and they didn’t know where we should go so he said to try asking the booths on the right. They were also confused and told us to go to the booths on the left. A few people tried to stop us and sell us tickets which we declined since we already had some. I tried calling and messaging the company with no response. We were walking around for 10-15 minutes asking every single person if they could help us. No one who saw our reservation was able to help. By now we assumed that we missed the boat. Then one of the guys who sounded like he was trying to sell us tickets earlier asks to see my phone and sees we booked with his company and started being so disgustingly rude to us. He was saying along the lines of “you girls don’t listen. You were supposed to be here at 6:00 and now the boat left without you. What were you doing this whole time? I go up to every single person and you guys weren’t here. It’s not that hard. I was at the meeting point.” Etc. such a condescending tone all throughout but I let it go since maybe he got a bit stressed. He continued to walk away with my phone for a few minutes (enough time for most people to calm down) and came back and just was insulting us again. “When I talked to you earlier it wasn’t me trying to sell you tickets or trying to hit on you, it’s because I needed to see your ticket.” Fair, but in my defense he had an accent I couldn’t fully understand the first time and he worded it so poorly it sounded like he wanted to sell us tickets. (Also, he’s starting to sound a little sexist this time just as a side note.) Without us responding and escalating he left again with my phone and came back a few minutes later, for a third time he kept insulting us and explaining how meeting points work like we are 5 years old (we are two girls in our early 20s.) At this point, his hostility is inexcusable. I told him that contrary to what he thinks, we were here at 6:00 and went to the booth closest to the meeting point, he didn’t know where to send us but told us to check the right side, the told us to check the left. The area you are referring to that you were “waiting for us at” is a folding lawn chair with a garbage bag on it with no signs or anything. You are not even wearing a company shirt here like everyone else who is working at a booth. There is also no sign anywhere! You did not say where out of the booths you would be in the meeting point description. This was such a lack of communication and organization on your part. You were mad at us for not asking other people where to go but we asked at least 5 people and none of them even heard of your company. You can ask them and verify. It’s ok if we missed out boat tour but this situation is not ok.” After that he said that I should have saw the company name in the fine print for this listing and asked other people specifically where that was (which was literally “kotor boat tour”…. Every single one of the 15 vendors there had a sign that said “Kotor boat tour.” Although the 6:00 boat was too far to get us, another company offered to take us. I’m not sure if I’m allowed to say the other company’s name on this review but their driver was so kind and friendly. While we were getting onto that boat, the rude employee through this booking smiled and asked us to write a review. So here I am writing a review…. By the way, some other people who saw this interaction mentioned to us how rude this employee was being to us (yes, multiple people noticed). I told my friend who I was with that if we did not get on the boat with the other company, I would not have accepted the rescheduling he mentioned he might be able to offer. Even if I did not get any refund, I would not want to spend 3 hours with anyone from this company. I’m not sure the name of who was working this afternoon, but I unfortunately believe that this person should no longer be employed with this company. I have never felt so disrespected, insulted, and degraded by someone in a customer service field. He spent more time lecturing and disrespecting us than he did actually trying to help us. If you’re reading this, please go with any other company. Trust me, there are at least 15 more options who you will enjoy your time with much more.
I chose this company because it is the only one to offer 30 min in the blue cave. The result was just 15 min with no equipment provided. Just another 10-min sightseeing stop in Perast, and we went by the rest so fast that it was difficult to take videos and photos, even though it is written on their site - 20 min in front of Lady of the Rock and Perast. (no possibility to get off and visit, even if there is a fee) - 30 min in the blue cave. I had to hold my 5-year-old child firmly because the skipper was driving so fast and was not at all pleasant. No audio guide in French, even though it is listed on the site. The result was a backache, bruises, and total disappointment with the excursion I was looking forward to most on my vacation. Out of the 3 hours of planned sightseeing, plus 2 hours of sailing, there was a 15-minute delay at the start and a 10-minute stop for gas. In short, look elsewhere; there are plenty of them. Avoid Kotor Sea Tours!
It has not been, at all, what we had contracted. No Spanish-speaking guide, no water, no goggles, and no snorkel. No stop at Santa Maria de las Rocas... and not three hours. It was 2h and twenty minutes
Never again. Arrived running in flip-flops in 98.6 degree heat at 12:03 PM because Kotor was jammed +++ despite a 3-hour drive from Ulcinj. She wanted us to pay for our excursion again at 50 euros per person (there are 5 of us) on top of the 164 euros. Then she dropped it to 40 euros per person, my 2 children negotiated by speaking English to point out to her that we had warned her of our delay 2 hours before by message and call without success. After 20 min, she agreed to let us leave with the 3:00 PM group, finally we left at 3:15 PM, with other French people, the guide was in a hurry. 3-hour excursion finally 2 hours 30 minutes and a very unpleasant trip for my part, the children loved the speed and the jolts. Conclusion if you don't pay in cash, they don't care about you at all.
It was a nice experience. The skipper took the initiative to do the tour the other way around so we avoided the crowds of the other boats. We also got an explanation of the different sights, which makes it more interesting. The stopover in Perrast was longer than expected, which was a nice gift. Swimming in the blue cave was magnificent! Life jackets were available for the insecure swimmers among us. We and the children enjoyed it!
I recommend doing the excursion to appreciate Montenegro from the sea. The view was exceptional. Note that this excursion does not provide information about Montenegro. The guide was very nice, but he didn't introduce himself and gave us a minimum of info.
The landscape and nature are spectacular. Little time to enjoy, the boat guy gave us barely 15 or 20 minutes and you lose a lot of time on the route, which you don't enjoy either because of the boat's speed.
