We showed up thinking it was a group setting… boy were we wrong! It was unbelievable and only myself, my girlfriend and the two hosts Paola and Massimo. They are so nice and welcoming! We ended up staying for 5 hours and enjoyed great food, drinks and conversation. Paola taught us how to make some pasta, about the history of the pasta. Truly it was a 10/10 experience and I would recommend it to everyone.
This is an exceptional experience that should not be missed. Massimo and Paola are very welcoming and warm inviting you into their home to share a homemade authentic Tuscan meal.
This was one of the highlights of our holiday! Paola made us so welcome, and produced a wonderful 4 course vegetarian lunch with wine. Despite the fact that my Italian, and Paola's English is limited we chatted away for hours!! Paola is a lovely friendly lady as well as an excellent cook, an experience not to be missed!
Very friendly hosts, they made us very welcome..A great range of food, some of the best dishes we have had on our many trips to Italy. Night starts with how to make ravioli and we were given chance to product some before host cooked them for our pasta course. The experience should have lasted 2 1/2 hours but conversation carried for extra hour. A wonderful night hosts gave us so much information about local area.
This was our best night " In Italia" Paola abd Massimo were superb hosts and the food was delicous. However, the star of the night was their little dog TOBIA, who we wanted to take home! "Grazie per la meravigliosa serata"
Paola and Masimo were the best hosts catering to our every need. We experienced a fun cooking lesson stuffing and sealing tortelli, recipes for dishes prepared, translated step by step and description of ingredients, and we were treated like family. This was by far our best meal in all of Italy. The gracious hosts, local casa, wine and fresh delicious food blew our expectations out of the water. We recommend this experience. You won't be disappointed.
Fantastic food, fantastic atmosphere, amazing experience. Highly recommended. We would love to do this again.
This was the highlight of our trip. We went from Rome to Viareggio! I'm so glad we did this! Paola and Massimo were so welcoming! The pasta we helped make was delicious and the rest of the meal was amazing as well! They sent us home with all of the recipes. I cannot wait to get home to try these recipes on my on. 10/10 recommend!
If you want to go off the beaten track, you might find what you're looking for here. You book an experience at Paola and Massimo's home, where you learn from Paola how to prepare a few Italian dishes: for our dinner we made a kind of ravioli. In addition to the dishes prepared together, you are spoiled with other delicacies from Paola. Prosecco and of course Italian wines help to quench your thirst. Dolce was also a must. We received a very warm welcome and felt very comfortable. Since we were already prepared for an evening in which we would communicate with hosts using hand gestures and feet without knowing any Italian, we were all the more delighted that a friend of the family was there to translate for us. It was a more than successful and beautiful evening that we will certainly remember for a long time. For those who are doubtful, definitely do it! It's worth it 🫶👍
We were warmly greeted by Paola, her husband and her lifelong friend at their home. She had the whole evening planned for us. First a pasta/ravioli making demonstration and hands on activity in her kitchen. Once we were done we went into the beautifully set dining room for some prosecco and description of what the meal was going to be. We asked for a vegetarian/fish menu, which she accommodated with no problem. All of the food was delicious and of course homemade. All of the ingredients came from a local garden. Sitting around a table with a local family was a great experience and I would highly recommend it for a change from your nightly restaurant search. One thing that I would note is that they spoke little to no English. I understand Italian and can carry on a basic conversation, which made the night all the more fun. If you don't know the language you could let them know on the website and I think there is a way to work it out.
