The square is characterized by the high obelisk, 30 meters high, called the Monument to the Restauradores and inaugurated on April 28, 1886, which commemorates the liberation of the country from Spanish rule on December 1, 1640.

Largo do Carmo is an iconic square located in the Chiado area. In this square, you find the ruins of the Carmo Convent, built in the 14th century and destroyed by the 1755 earthquake.
Bairro Alto and Chiado represent the most bohemian and alternative sides of Lisbon. These neighborhoods are alive with creativity, where historic charm meets street art, cafés, shops, and an energy that makes you feel like something unexpected could happen around any corner.
The São Pedro de Alcântara viewpoint is a garden located in Lisbon, in the parish of Misericórdia. Built in 1864, on two terraces, the viewpoint provides an outside view of the old part of the city.
Jardim do Príncipe Real is a garden located in Lisbon. It is a garden with a romantic layout and was built in the mid-19th century.
Basílica da Estrela is characterized by its neoclassical beauty and the fascinating history that surrounds it. This iconic church, inaugurated in the late 18th century, was built in honor of Queen Maria I.

Great couple of hours with our Guide Angel. It was a fantastic way to see lots of the city with some great little stops to take photos. Our guide was really knowledgeable about the city and it was really interesting to learn more about Lisbon.

This was an amazing tour given by Julio and Felipa.. They were so knowledgeable about all the history in Lisbon. We chose the one to four hour tour and did the full four hours and they showed us every inch of the city. I don’t think we could’ve covered an eighth of it without the tour. Highly recommended. Viator was fantastic to work with, I will only book through them from now on.

Good two hour intro to Lisbon but not a comfy ride. My suggestion is that you make sure you book a similar tour with a four wheel tuk tuk that has balloon tires.

What particularly excited us: The Tuk-Tuk is simply the perfect way to explore Lisbon's hilly terrain. The rides through the steep streets would have been exhausting on foot, so we could just enjoy and marvel. Our driver Diego spontaneously responded to our wishes and even showed us a secret spot that no tour guide knows.
