Itinerary
We’ll meet in front of the Supremo Tribunal de Justiça. Keep an eye out for a yellow "Carpe Diem Tours" sign.
Stroll through Baixa with your expert guide to a cosy tavern famed for its flavourful Portuguese petiscos. Here, you’ll savour favourites like freshly grilled chouriço and bacalhau à Brás, accompanied by a perfectly paired local wine.
Next, we’ll visit a traditional Portuguese seafood restaurant for grilled sardines and comforting seafood rice. And the best part? You’ll enjoy it all with a refreshing glass of iconic Vinho Verde.
After a sit-down meal, explore Portuguese street food with the legendary bifana, a tender steak sandwich simmered in garlic and wine. Be sure to save room for a crispy coxinha or croqueta, best enjoyed with an ice-cold beer.
We’ll stop at a historic liquor shop, founded in 1890, to taste Portugal’s beloved Ginjinha, a smooth, sour cherry liqueur that sets the stage perfectly for your final sweet treat.
No food tour is complete without dessert, finish with Portugal’s iconic pastel de nata, a golden, flaky custard tart that’s simply unforgettable.

We had an amazing food tour with Anna Sophia! She was very patient as we had our twin 3 year old girls with us. There was plenty of food. I was offered plenty of non alcoholic substitute drinks as I was not drinking any of the wine or beer offered. Would definitely recommend.
