Lisbon Boat Cruise with Swimming Stop & Live Music

Built between 1514 and 1520, this Manueline-style tower was erected to defend the mouth of the Tagus and protect Lisbon from potential invasions. Beyond its defensive role, Belém Tower also served as a lighthouse, a customs post, and even a prison. It was also a departure point for the great maritime expeditions of the Age of Discoveries. As we pass by, imagine Portuguese navigators like Vasco da Gama setting sail into the unknown.

As you pass by the Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown on Lisbon’s waterfront, you’ll see one of the city’s most striking modern landmarks. Designed by architect Charles Correa, the building sits where the Tagus River meets the Atlantic, symbolizing Portugal’s historic voyages into the unknown and today’s scientific exploration. Its pale stone curves, open-air amphitheater, reflecting pools, and broad terraces create a dramatic contrast with nearby historic Belém monuments. Inside, it is a world-renowned center for biomedical research and cancer treatment.

Dropping anchor near Praia de Paço de Arcos feels like arriving at a hidden pocket of calm along the Lisbon coast. In these gentle waters, the boat settles softly while the shoreline glows in the sun.
