Lake Naivasha & Hell’s Gate National Park Day Tour from Nairobi

We met Monica by chance and she offered to be our guide and bring us to Lake Naivasha and Hell‘s Gate. She was so much more than just a guide. In addition to driving us to and from our hotel, she helped us with any issues we encountered and we were able to absorb more information in just 2 days than normally in an entire year. During the entire trip my girlfriend and I felt completely safe and we loved her ability to adjust to our wishes. Only good things to say about her. Asante Sana Monica!

Excellent privat tour with a lovely lady Tour guide Monika. Pick-up on time -- fast NP entrace --- nice local guide in the Park and bicycle Tour. (bicycle tour tough but good to handle) Bikes o.k. but not western Level Highligh was the boat tour on the lake. Lots of birds, hippos, etc. -- Very professionell tour Guide. All in all a Very spezial day with many Highlights and a very professional Monika. We can the tour warmly recommend Thanks Monika

This was an amazing experience! And Monica is without a doubt the absolute best. I’d selected this particular trip because of the flexibility and senior discount! And I was absolutely right. We were able to tailor this visit to fit our needs and our interests. Just because we’re seniors doesn’t mean we don’t want to go places. It just might take us a little bit longer, and Monica was extremely sensitive to this, not rushing us, and giving us a wealth of information about geology, animal, life, and Kenya in general. Hells Gate was incredibly interesting and beautiful. I loved the canyon hike all the way to the hot spring. Afterwards, we had a delicious lunch which accommodated a variety of dietary needs, then we took our amazing boat ride. That alone made our Kenya trip to worth it and we’ve been on many safaris. But Lake Naivasha was another world. To be so close to such a wide variety of birds… To call an eagle and have it come grab a fish out of the lake and soar above us, to have pelican swim right up to the boat, and to see water bucks grazing peacefully next to us, was incredible. Highly, highly recommend!!!!! We had our own logistical issues to contend with, and Monica went above and beyond to make sure that we made it to the airport, we had our luggage, and that we had had an absolutely magnificent time. We plan on sending all of our friends to Monica for anything tourism related, not just this particular tour. We’ve traveled extensively for many years and I can honestly say that she’s one of the best in the world.

I took the Lake Naivasha & Hell’s Gate National Park Day Tour with Liofe and Rimon Safaris in May 2026 and it was outstanding. I went with friends and everything exceeded expectations. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The comfortable transport, good lunch, and smooth itinerary made the day easy. Hell’s Gate was a highlight — biking through the stunning gorges with zebras, giraffes, and antelopes all around was fantastic. The Lake Naivasha boat ride delivered great hippo sightings and beautiful scenery. Well-organized, safe, and great value for a day trip from Nairobi. Perfect mix of adventure and wildlife. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience at Lake Naivasha for a meagre amount. I had value for my money. I was there four about four hours with my friend, we are Nigerians. The place was serene and beautiful. Atmosphere was peaceful and friendly with tourists trooping in numbers at different times. Though we came very early beacuse we wanted to see the hippos and we saw them in the water. It was a lovely experience. Staff were friendly and educated us on everything we needed to know about the lake and the animals. They gave us great knowledge about the animals and the place. Our tour guide was Willy and our tour advisor that brought us there was Monica. Thank you for this great experience. I will never forget.

What an unforgettable experience at Lake Naivasha! We had a full day filled with adventure, beautiful scenery, and incredible wildlife sightings — including seeing hippos up close, which was definitely a highlight of the trip. We also visited Mount Longonot, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. Everything throughout the day was perfectly organized, which made the experience so enjoyable and stress-free.
